689 حدثنا أحمد بن منيع حدثنا يحيى بن زكريا بن أبي زائدة أخبرني عيسى بن دينار عن أبيه عن عمرو بن الحارث بن أبي ضرار عن ابن مسعود قال ما صمت مع النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم تسعا وعشرين أكثر مما صمنا ثلاثين قال وفي الباب عن عمر وأبي هريرة وعائشة وسعد بن أبي وقاص وابن عباس وابن عمر وأنس وجابر وأم سلمة وأبي بكرة أن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم قال الشهر يكون تسعا وعشرين

689 Ahmad bin Mani’ narrated to us, Yahya bin Zakariya bin Abi Zaida narrated to us, Isa bin Dinar narrated to me, on the authority of his father, on the authority of Amr bin Al-Harith bin Abi Dharar, on the authority of Ibn Mas’ud, who said: I did not fast with the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, twenty-nine days more than we fasted thirty days. He said: And in this chapter, on the authority of Umar, Abu Hurairah, Aisha, Sa’d bin Abi Waqqas, Ibn Abbas, Ibn Umar, Anas, Jabir, Umm Salamah, and Abu Bakrah, that the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: The month is twenty-nine days.
