Ishaq ibn Nasr narrated to us, Abd al-Razzaq narrated to us, on the authority of Ma`mar, on the authority of al-Zuhri, on the authority of Salim, on the authority of Ibn `Umar, may Allah be pleased with them both, who said: When a man saw a dream during the lifetime of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), he would tell it to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). So I wished to see a dream that I could tell the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), and I was a young, unmarried boy, and I used to sleep in the mosque on the During the time of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), I saw in a dream that two angels took me and took me to the Fire. It was folded up like the folding of a well, and it had two horns like the horns of a well. There were people in it whom I recognized, so I began to say, “I seek refuge in Allah from the Fire, I seek refuge in Allah from the Fire.” Then another angel met them and said to me, “You will not be frightened.” So I told the story to him. Hafsa, so Hafsa told it to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), and he said: “What a good man Abdullah is, if only he prayed at night.” Salim said: So Abdullah did not sleep at night except a little.
