3291 - When the servant of one of you brings his food, let him sit with him, or let him pass some of it ذَا جَاءَ خَادِمُ أَحَدِكُمْ بِطَعَامِهِ، فَلْيُقْعِدْهُ مَعَهُ، أَوْ لِيُنَاوِلْهُ مِنْهُ

٣٢٩١ - حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْمُنْذِرِ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ فُضَيْلٍ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ الْهَجَرِيُّ، عَنْ أَبِي الْأَحْوَصِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «إِذَا جَاءَ خَادِمُ أَحَدِكُمْ بِطَعَامِهِ، فَلْيُقْعِدْهُ مَعَهُ، أَوْ لِيُنَاوِلْهُ مِنْهُ، فَإِنَّهُ هُوَ الَّذِي وَلِيَ حَرَّهُ وَدُخَانَهُ»

3291 - Ali ibn al-Mundhir narrated: Muhammad ibn Fadil narrated: Ibrahim al-Hijri narrated, on the authority of Abu al-Ahwas, on the authority of Abdullah, who said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: “When the servant of one of you brings his food, let him sit with him, or let him pass some of it to him, for he is the one who is responsible for its heat and smoke.”
