3686 - I had smeared it for my camels, Will I have a reward if I give it to drink قَدْ لُطْتُهَا لِإِبِلِي، فَهَلْ لِي مِنْ أَجْرٍ إِنْ سَقَيْتُهَا؟

٣٦٨٦ - (صحيح) حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ نُمَيْرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا (٥) مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ مَالِكِ بْنِ جُعْشُمٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَمِّهِ سُرَاقَةَ بْنِ جُعْشُمٍ قَالَ: سَأَلْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ عَنْ ضَالَّةِ الْإِبِلِ تَغْشَى حِيَاضِي، قَدْ لُطْتُهَا لِإِبِلِي، فَهَلْ لِي مِنْ أَجْرٍ إِنْ سَقَيْتُهَا؟ قَالَ: "نَعَمْ، فِي كُلِّ ذَاتِ كَبِدٍ حَرَّى أَجْرٌ". 3686 - (Sahih) Abu Bakr ibn Abi Shaybah narrated to us, Abdullah ibn Numayr narrated to us, Muhammad ibn Ishaq narrated to us, on the authority of Al-Zuhri, on the authority of Abd Al-Rahman ibn Malik ibn Ju’shum, on the authority of his father, on the authority of his uncle Suraqah ibn Ju’shum, who said: I asked the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, about a lost camel that came to my watering place, and I had smeared it for my camels, Will I have a reward if I give it to drink? He said: “Yes, for every living thing that has a hot liver there is a reward.” [Sahihah: 2152, Tuhfah: 3820]
