3254 - The food of one person is sufficient for two طَعَامُ الْوَاحِدِ، يَكْفِي الِاثْنَيْنِ

٣٢٥٤ - حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الرَّقِّيُّ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ زِيَادٍ الْأَسَدِيُّ قَالَ: أَنْبَأَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ: أَنْبَأَنَا أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «طَعَامُ الْوَاحِدِ، يَكْفِي الِاثْنَيْنِ، وَطَعَامُ الِاثْنَيْنِ، يَكْفِي الْأَرْبَعَةَ، وَطَعَامُ الْأَرْبَعَةِ، يَكْفِي الثَّمَانِيَةَ»

3254 - Muhammad ibn Abdullah al-Ruqi narrated: Yahya ibn Ziyad al-Asadi narrated: Ibn Jurayj informed us: Abu al-Zubayr informed us, on the authority of Jabir ibn Abdullah, who said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: “The food of one person is sufficient for two, and the food of two is sufficient for four, and the food of four is sufficient for Eight.
