712 - Muhammad bin Al-Sabah and Ahmad bin Sinan told us, they said: Ishaq bin Yusuf Al-Azraq told us, Sufyan informed us, and Ali bin Maimun Al-Raqi told us, Mukhallad bin Yazid told us, on the authority of Sufyan, on the authority of Alqamah bin Marthad, on the authority of Sulayman bin Buraidah, on the authority of his father, he said: a man came to the Prophet (peace and blessings of God be upon him) and asked him about the time of prayer. He said, “Pray with us these two days.” When the sun had passed its zenith, he ordered Bilal to call the adhan, then he ordered him to call the iqama for the noon prayer. Then he ordered him to call the iqama for the afternoon prayer while the sun was high and pure white. Then he ordered him to call the iqama for the sunset prayer when the sun had set. Then he ordered him to call the iqama for the night prayer when the twilight had disappeared. Then he ordered him to call the iqama for the dawn prayer when dawn had risen, Then, on the second day, he ordered him to call to prayer for the noon prayer, and he cooled it down and was pleased to cool it down. Then he prayed the afternoon prayer while the sun was high, and he delayed it above what it was before. Then he prayed the sunset prayer before the twilight disappeared, and he prayed the night prayer after a third of the night had passed, and he prayed the dawn prayer, and it became light. Then he said, “Where is the one who asked about the time of prayer?” The man said, me, O Messenger of God.” He said, “The time of your prayer is between what you have seen.”
