قوله لأتباعه صلي الله عليه وسلم (خَالِفُوا الْمُشْرِكِينَ) وفي رواية لمسلم(خَالِفُوا الْمَجُوسَ)، وقوله: (مَن تَشَبَّهَ بِقَومٍ فهو مِنهُم)[أبو داود]، وثبت عن عمر رضي الله عنه أنه قال: (إياكم وزي الأعاجم)[وصححه الحافظ ابن حجر في فتح الباري (10/286)]

في الصحيحين عن البراء بن عازب رضي الله عنه قال: ((كان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، رجلًا مربوعًا، بعيدَ ما بين المنكبين، وكانت جُمَّتُه تضرب إلى شحمة أذنيه)).


• الجُمَّة: الشعر النازل إلى المنكبين.


• والوفرة: الشعر إذا وصل شحمة الأذن.


• ‏اللِّمَّة: ما جاوز شحمة الأذنين.


ما هي العادة التي أسسها المجوس؟

الإجابة: المجوس، كما تعلمون، كانوا حكماء - حكماء رائعين - أحضروا الهدايا للطفل في المذود. هم من ابتكروا فن تقديم هدايا عيد الميلاد . ولأنهم حكماء، كانت هداياهم بلا شك حكيمة، وربما كانت تحمل امتياز التبادل في حالة التكرار

The description of the Hair of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)

In the two Sahihs, it is narrated on the authority of Al-Bara' ibn 'Azib (may Allah be pleased with him) who said: "The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was a square-built man, with wide shoulders, and his hair reached his earlobes."


• Jummah: Hair that reaches the shoulders.


• Wafrah: Hair that reaches the earlobes.


• Limmah: Hair that extends beyond the earlobes.


What is the custom did the Magi establish?

Answer: The Magi, as you know, were wise men—wonderful wise men—who brought gifts to the baby in the manger. They invented the art of Christmas gift-giving. Because they were wise men, their gifts were undoubtedly wise, and perhaps even included the privilege of reciprocity.
