Allah says
سَيَقُولُ لَكَ الْمُخَلَّفُونَ مِنَ الْأَعْرَابِ شَغَلَتْنَا أَمْوَالُنَا وَأَهْلُونَا فَاسْتَغْفِرْ لَنَا ۚ يَقُولُونَ بِأَلْسِنَتِهِم مَّا لَيْسَ فِي قُلُوبِهِمْ ۚ قُلْ فَمَن يَمْلِكُ لَكُم مِّنَ اللَّهِ شَيْئًا إِنْ أَرَادَ بِكُمْ ضَرًّا أَوْ أَرَادَ بِكُمْ نَفْعًا ۚ بَلْ كَانَ اللَّهُ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ خَبِيرًا (11)
The Bedouins who remained behind will say to you: Our money and our families have occupied us, so ask forgiveness for us, they say with their tongues what is not in their hearts, ۚ Say, “Who can do anything for you from God, whether He intends you harm or wants you to benefit, rather, Allah is Expert of what you do (11)
We benefit from the noble verse
1 - There are times of abundance for the Islamic nation and times of hardship, so this should not be the behavior of a Muslim during the days of abundance, it is absolutely the same as the days of hardship. This person has one behavior and that person has a completely different behavior.
2 - It is said that if you have received many blessings, you should praise them, otherwise seeking forgiveness takes the place, this is what the hypocrites did with the Messenger of God - may God bless him and grant him peace - in this verse, they do not want to ask forgiveness for themselves, but rather they want the Messenger of God - may God bless him and grant him peace - and himself to ask forgiveness for them, as if it were a guarantee for them in Paradise, which is a reprehensible type of deception.
3 - As for being preoccupied with money and children, who among the people is not preoccupied with this, but if the one calling for jihad calls for money or lives, it must be answered.
4 - Speaking with the tongue is very easy and there are people whose words do not exceed their throats - we ask God for well-being - and the hypocrites whose tongues are better than their deeds, what distinguishes believers from them is that the actions of believers are better than their tongues, even if the best is in both.
5 - The question that God - the Almighty - poses to them and does not want a direct answer from them: Say: Who can possess anything for you from God if He intends harm for you or desires benefit for you?
6 - Finally: It is necessary to know that in such critical situations in the nation, God is aware of what the breasts contain, “the source of secrets,” and what they truly contain. We ask God for safety from hypocrisy.
