5633 – Should I maintain ties of kinship with her? أتتني أمي راغبة، في عهد النبي ﷺ ، فسألت النبي ﷺ : آصلها؟

5633 – حدثنا الحُمَيدي: حدثنا سفيان: حدثنا هشام بن عروة: أخبرني أبي: أخبرتني أسماء بنت أبي بكر رضي الله عنهما قالت أتتني أمي راغبة، في عهد النبي ﷺ ، فسألت النبي ﷺ : آصلها؟ قال: (نعم). قال ابن عيينة: فأنزل الله تعالى فيها: {لا ينهاكم الله عن الذين لم يقاتلوكم في الدين}.

5633 - Al-Humaydi narrated to us: Sufyan narrated to us: Hisham bin Urwah narrated to us: My father told me: Asma bint Abi Bakr, may God be pleased with them both, told me: My mother came to me, desiring, during the time of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, so I asked the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace: Should I maintain ties of kinship with her? He said: (Yes). Ibn Uyaynah said: Then God Almighty revealed concerning her: {God does not forbid you from those who do not fight you because of religion.}
