[ 2777] حدثنا علي بن حجر أخبرنا شريك عن أبي ربيعة عن بن بريدة عن أبيه رفعه قال يا علي لا تتبع النظرة النظرة فإن لك الأولى وليست لك الآخرة قال أبو عيسى هذا حديث حسن غريب لا نعرفه إلا من حديث شريك

[2777] Ali bin Hajar told us, Sharik told us, on the authority of Abu Rabia, on the authority of Ibn Buraidah, on the authority of his father, who said, “O Ali, do not follow one glance with another, for the first is yours, but the second is not yours.” Abu Isa said, “This is a good, strange hadith that we do not know except from the hadith of Sharik.”
