6082 - This is better than filling the earth like this -

6082 - Ismail told us, he said: Abdul Aziz bin Abi Hazim told me, on the authority of his father, on the authority of Sahl bin Saad Al-Saadi that he said: A man passed by the Messenger of God, peace be upon him, and he said to a man sitting with him: (what do you think about this). He said: (A man from the noble people, By God, it is more appropriate that if he proposes to marry, and if he intercedes, he should intercede, He said: The Messenger of God, peace and blessings be upon him, remained silent, then a man passed by, and the Messenger of God, peace and blessings be upon him, said to him: “What do you think about this? He said: O Messenger of God, this is a poor Muslim man. If he proposes marriage, he should not marry, and if he intercedes, he will not be interceded, and if he says that his words will not be heard, The Messenger of God, peace and blessings be upon him, said: “This is better than filling the earth like this.”

We take from the hadith

1 - First: The honorable hadith did not mention the names of the two men, and therefore there is no backbiting, but rather it is teaching and correcting concepts.

2 - Most people deal with others from the principle of what they own, starting with their social status and passing through what they own and ending with their external appearance, and this is what Islam expressly rejects what the Messenger of God said in this hadith.

3 - You may find poor financially, but they are with God - come - in a place where he loves them and they love him, no matter how they seem to you from their appearance that they are less than you.

4 - People marry, deal, get married, and listen to someone who has an external image full of achievements, even if these achievements are inherited and he has no hand in them, and they flee from the outward appearance of little mater, Just because he seems poor, they do not marry him, and they do not listen to his words, no, and this is what the hadith pointed to.

5 - If you go through life, you will find those interested in the mind do not see you except through the mind and knowing what is going on in your head with MRI, as for those who care about etiquette, they care about all the movements and external forms that it brings, and so on, Almost the only one who does not look at these things is God - the Almighty - who sees us only from the inside, not the liver and the kidneys, but the heart is the source of secrets and the source of prudence mixed with feelings, It produces either a large heart that bears the character of humanity, or a hateful heart in which life only increases in hardness.

Now: Do you imagine that the Messenger of God - may God’s prayers and peace be upon him - warns us of the materialism that will spread in our time? Does he tell us what is happening in our time, that people will only deal with What do people possess of outward appearances, and what do they possess of things?

From the moment we are born, we seem to be conditioned to desire and possess things. Well-meaning parents (and I am one of them) shower their springtime with toys, clothes, and food, sending a message that "you are special" and "you deserve the best", And it's true - we're all special and we deserve the best, but is our specialty there in things? Is our value determined by what we have? But it may lead to a later problem where our happiness depends on a constant tendency to acquire new and better things.

Materialism has been consistently associated with lower levels of life satisfaction. We suggest that one reason for this negative relationship is that great materialists find it difficult to feel gratitude, and that lower levels of gratitude for traits may be related to unmet psychological needs. 246 undergraduate marketing students (129 female) completed self-report measures of materiality, gratitude, need satisfaction, and life satisfaction via an online questionnaire.Gratitude and need satisfaction mediate the relationship between materialism and lower life satisfaction in the sequence.Gratitude was also a direct mediator

while need gratification played an indirect role through its relation to gratitude. The findings may shed light on why those with a high degree of materialism are less happy than those with a low degree of materialism, and suggest possibilities for interventions to increase life satisfaction.

First: I apologize for the lack of links to the studies, but one last words

If you notice with me that materialism is a feeling of being full of things and you are almost not satisfied with them psychologically, and that you can gain your self-esteem through what you possess, Not what your essence contains, so the Messenger - may God’s prayers and peace be upon him - explains modern materialism to us through the common example in our lives all , We all go through these two men, whether they are men, women, or unfortunately children, who carry these meanings and grow up with them, Do you see a rich child today who does not accept to wear local clothes and not brands? Or is he carrying a very recent mobile that has just gone down the market? This has become an axiom, not just a formality.
