Surat Ash-Shu'ara 367

Updated: Jun 13

Surat Ash-Shu'ara

A Meccan surah

Except for verse 197, and from verse 224 to the end of Surah Madinah from Al-Mathani.

The number of its verses

227 verses.

Arranged in the Qur’an

26

It's started

With disjointed letters (Tassam 1)

The reason for its nam

It was called Surah Ash-Shu'ara because of the verses that spoke about poets.

And the poets are followed by the erring ones. 224 Have you not seen that they wander in every valley 225 And they say what they do not do. 226 (Al-Shu’ara’: 224-226).

The reasons for going down

It was revealed to the Messenger ﷺ when he was saddened by the lack of faith of his people, “Perhaps you will kill yourself so that they will not be believers” (3) [Al-Shu’ara’: 3].

In response to the polytheists regarding the non-prophecy of Muhammad, may God bless him and grant him peace.

Explaining that the message of the prophets is one, as God said that the prophets Noah, Hud, Salih, Lot, and Shuaib said in various places in the surah: “When their brother Noah said to them, ‘Do you not pious to God?’ 106. Indeed, I am to you a trustworthy messenger.’ 107)

The focus of the surah

The surah was revealed to reassure the heart of the Messenger, may God bless him and grant him peace, when they accused him of poetry, magic, and madness. Therefore, Surah Ash-Shu’ara was to confirm that the Messenger, may God bless him and grant him peace, He is not a poet, nor a madman, nor a magician, because poets are followed by deceitful people, and they say what they do not do, and this is not one of the characteristics of the Messenger, may God bless him and grant him peace, God Almighty followed the two verses with an exception for those who believed and did righteous deeds, And when God Almighty mentioned it, He was directing rebuke to the infidels of Quraysh, and they were the ones who accused the Messenger, may God bless him and grant him peace, by those false accusations.

We will begin the interpretation, God willing

The Interpretation of Al-Tabari - may God have mercy on him - for the verses
Tasm

On the authority of Qatada, in his saying: (Tasm) he said: It is one of the names of the Qur’an

And to Ibn Abbas and everyone: These verses that I revealed to Muhammad, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, in this Surah are the verses of the Book that I revealed to him before it, which made it clear to those who contemplate it with understanding, and think about it with reason, that it is from God, glory be to Him, and Muhammad, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, did not summarize it. And he did not invent it from himself, but rather his Lord revealed it to him.

Perhaps, O Muhammad, you will kill yourself and destroy it if your people do not believe in you and believe in you for what you brought to them. Bakha: means killing and destruction in the words of the Arabs.

If God had willed, He would have revealed to him a verse by which they would be humiliated, so that no one would bend his neck to disobey God.

And these polytheists who deny you and deny what you have brought to them, O Muhammad, from your Lord, never come to remind and alert you to the points of God’s arguments against them regarding your truthfulness, and the reality of what you are calling them to, of what God speaks to you and reveals to you, so that you may remind them of it, except that they turn away from listening to it, and abandon putting thought into it and contemplating it.

News of the matter that they were mocking will come to them, and that is a warning from God to them that He will be subjected to His punishment for their persistence in their disbelief and their rebellion against their Lord.

Haven't these polytheists who denied the resurrection seen how much We have caused growth in it after it was dead and treeless? (of every noble pair) Generous: beautiful, just as a good-bearing palm tree is said to be generous, and just as a sheep or she-camel is said if it has abundant milk, so its milk is abundant: a generous she-camel, and a generous ewe.

Indeed, in that is a sign. And most of them are not believers. (8) And indeed, your Lord He is the Mighty, the Most Merciful (9)

And remember, O Muhammad, when your Lord called to Musa ibn Imran (Come to the wrongdoing people), meaning the unbelievers, the people of Pharaoh.

The meaning of the words: Pharaoh’s people, so tell them: Do they not pious?

(Moses said) to his Lord (Lord, I fear) the people of Pharaoh whom you commanded me to come to (that they deny) my saying to them: I have sent to you.

He does not utter the words about what you are sending me to them, due to the reason that was on his tongue. And his saying: (And my tongue does not loosen up) are words that are combined with narrow. And his saying: (So send for Aaron) means Aaron his brother, and he did not say: So Aaron sent to me to support me and help me.

(And they have a burden on me, so I fear that they will kill me) He said: He killed the soul among them.

That is, Pharaoh's people will not kill you. (So go with Our signs) He says: So you and your brother go with Our signs, meaning with Our knowledge and arguments that We have given you against them. And His saying: (Indeed, we are listening with you) from Pharaoh’s people, what they say to you, and they answer you with it.

So come you, O Moses, and your brother Aaron to Pharaoh, (So say, “Indeed, we are the Messenger of the Lord of the Worlds” to you (to send with us the Children of Israel).) And the Messenger of the Lord of the Worlds said.

To send the children of Israel with us

So they came to Pharaoh and conveyed to him the message of their Lord to him. Pharaoh said: Did we not raise you as a child among us, O Moses, and you remained among us for years of your life? This was because he stayed with him before killing the murdered Copt who killed him.

On the authority of Al-Suddi: (And you did what you did while you were among the disbelievers) meaning this is the one who disgraced our religion.

Others said: Rather, the meaning of that is: You are one of the disbelievers. Our blessing has been upon you.

A view around the verses

What verses will come, God Almighty likens them to being easy, clear, and unambiguous.

Perhaps it will be useful for Taraji, so is it here that it is useful? Of course not. Rather, it is a severe blame on our Master Muhammad - may God bless him and grant him peace - for grieving over polytheist people, with whom his grief - may God bless him and grant him peace - does not differ, the verse indicates that sadness is fatal to its owner, and some sadness is pathogenic. Otherwise, if it was not like that, then why did Jacob fall ill after separating from Joseph - peace be upon them both?

He and his father have cataracts in their eyes or what is wrong with them? Extreme sadness is fatal - read this scientific talk with me:

The depression is

A serious mental health condition that may become fatal if not treated. In some people, untreated depression may lead to suicide. In addition, a depressed person may have related health problems that may ultimately lead to death.

My heart disease

High blood lipids

Diabetes

Infections

Alzheimer's disease

Sleep problems

Lack of appetite

What do I mean by what I said above?

There are some types of transitive sadness, that is, it is not sadness for oneself, but rather sadness for acquaintances, friends, or even children who are sometimes lethargic or treacherous, or anything that hurts the soul, you must isolate yourself from the event that is going on around you. You are not the event, nor are they the last people you will meet in life. Life has its sweet and bitter, and this is what happened a little or a while later in the life of the Messenger of God - may God bless him and grant him peace, after his death, the lands and countries flourished with Islam, and his eyes - may God bless him and grant him peace - alive and dead - were blessed.

And you

Do you believe that the Qur’an is not only for the Messenger of God - may God bless him and grant him peace - but also for you? Yes, when someone lets you down or you become sad because he does not agree with your moral - religious - life principles...etc. You become sad because of him, especially if his status in the afterlife does not concern you, as he is not one of your children, for example. Do not kill yourself for anyone, no matter how dear he is to you, for every human being will come to God individually, and you will ask why you harmed your health for the sake of so-and-so or some people? the sadness produces several slopes (isolation, hatred for people, possibly leading to a quick death (suicide) or a slow death (depression)

Now: Imagine the scene, something descending from the sky, let us assume a meteor or lightning bolt for example, and you see it descending very quickly, so your neck is bent over your body and it becomes submissive and you are unable to raise your head from it again. May God protect you and protect us - this is the least thing a lover can do for his beloved, God Almighty, for his Prophet and beloved Muhammad, may God bless him and grant him peace. Did God really do this? no why? Until it is proven to us that the Book is clear: What is clear is that no one should be subjected to belief in it. Whoever wants to, let him believe in it, and whoever wants, let him disbelieve in it, this is the essence of choice. If he forces you to subject you to something you do not want, the idea of your choosing this religion will cease, and the idea of freedom in religions will cease.

Up to date

If the expression is correct, the Qur’an was not revealed all at once, but rather it was revealed as a whole, that is, dispersed over 23 years, and it was revealed with current events contemporary with the existence of the Messenger of God - may God bless him and grant him peace - among a group of believers, polytheists, People of the Book, and others, God Almighty says to Muhammad - may God’s prayers and peace be upon him - comforting him with sadness: Although the Qur’an brings new events, they turn away from everything new.

And you

Do not say: What is my fault that I was not created in the time of the Messenger of God - may God bless him and grant him peace? If that had happened, I would have been a true believer. No, do not judge yourself (judgment belongs only to God) God did not create anything in vain. He created you at a specific time and history among the nations for a specific reason, and that is after getting to know Him - Glory be to Him - and believing in Him and worshiping Him, the testimony to the history, time, and era in which you lived, and what Islam was like at that time, How did Muslims deal with the current events and did they consider what happened yesterday (the events of the Hijra and Medina) with the Messenger of God and the believers? And did, did, did?? You are a witness to the era. This is one, but the other was during the life of the Messenger of God - may God bless him and grant him peace, (Believers - hypocrites - infidels - polytheists) and perhaps others, so why do you judge yourself that you would have been one of the believers? Who is the one who assume over the God - the Almighty - Have you entertain, O Messenger of God - may God bless him and grant him peace - stand for this call, for there is no place for sadness, for sadness is a seat you and does not make you productive, and you are a final messenger of heavenly messages, There is no room for sadness at all, so the verse before us came: Bad outcome for those who disbelieve in the word (will) and God only promises what He actually intends to do.

And you

If you find someone sad, do not add to his sadness, leave him, but do not add to his sadness or a direct cause of his sadness that prevents him from doing what is required of him in this life, and if you are sad: do yourself a favor by not killing yourself out of sadness for anything, do not take this life. Seriously, as scientists say: it passes and is harmful. Take it seriously only when working. As for what is happening around you, it is as if you are watching a silly movie and it will end, it will end, then God - the Almighty - shows His Prophet the extent of his productivity in this life, and He is the God - the Almighty - the Powerful - who is not unable to say to His angels, jinn, humans, or other of His creatures, “Do such and such.” Rather, on the contrary, He is the one who did that Himself, Glory be to Him, the Highest, I grow different flowers, and fruits in the same soil and under the same sky. Of course, the example - if so to speak - Then he ends the temporary hadith of comforting the Messenger of God - may God bless him and grant him peace - with strength and severity after the gentleness and solace of the Messenger of God. Indeed, there is a sign in humiliation, and most of them are not believers (the germination of the earth). Indeed, your Lord is the Mighty: the One who does not humiliate nor humiliate anyone, no matter who he is able to humiliate - ask forgiveness. God - It is said that He has mercy on a dear people who are humiliated, and that happens in life. As for God, no one can do that to Him. He is dear and rare in existence, so no one can do what He did from the beginning of humanity until the day the surface of the earth is equal to what is on it, However, He is Merciful, and the difference that we know between the Most Merciful ( Al - Raheem) and the Most Merciful ( Al Rahman) is that the Most Compassionate: He has mercy on the disbeliever, so he eats and drinks them and subjugates everything in the universe for them to eat and drinks. As for the Most Merciful (Al - Raheem) he is the Most Merciful to those who believe in him - Glory be to Him, the Most High, only in the afterlife, and God is Most High and Most Knowing. As for these two verses that will be repeated throughout the noble Surah, we do not know the reason for them, but if they have no reason other than diversity in writing, then it is a blessing, God - the Almighty - writes, and He is the best book ever. His words are miraculous, short, and have great meaning. He is the best of eloquent speakers - Glory be to Him - and once He writes a complete story for you when you read it for the first time, it fills your heart with sadness and anguish (the story of Joseph) Sometimes he divides the events into different surahs for you in a way that does not distort the meaning and does not make you feel that the story is truncated, and sometimes he tells you with saj’: coo, from the beginning of the surah to the end, like Surah Ar-Rahman... Thus, we cannot do justice to the method of writing the miracle of God - glory be to Him, tell me: Did you feel that the speech was still for Muhammad? Did the verses move you so gently that you forgot that the speech was for our master Muhammad - may God bless him and grant him peace, yes, right?

And when your Lord called Moses
Go to the wrongdoing people

Moses' story was a painful holocaust. He was spoiled in the house of the Pharaoh, raised in palaces, and the origin of his life was supposed to be in the ruins of the children of Israel who were enslaved to the Pharaoh, Pharaoh is not a name, but a title for the king of Egypt at that time. This is a story among the stories of the Qur’an that did not come from its beginning to its end in this surah. You would have included the events and remembered from another surah what happened to Moses when he was young, and then focused on what is happening now in this surah, The most important thing is that Moses is now forty years old, so no messenger or prophet came with a message before he was forty years old, and the message after it was a conversation between the Lord and His Messenger on a stick that turned into a snake...etc., the tone here became strict, as if God was extremely distressed, if so to speak.

And you

What is specifically required of you, not your brother or whoever sits next to you in the mosque? Have you come to the unjust people? I hear you saying that I do not live in Egypt, and I do not have an oppressive elite in my country? My dear brother: You are lying to yourself. Every country has an oppressive elite, and every job has its own corruption. We assume that you work in the field of medicines: Do you import medicines and charge their prices to the buyer? Do you contribute to the global pharmaceutical mafia? Do you participate in the injustice of the patient because you get a bonus in profits because you sell more? This is just a very simple example. My dear brother: whatever your position: remember the oppressive elite and remember the oppressors who are annihilated by the elite that you work with. Can you imagine that the Qur’an was revealed to Moses and Muhammad? And other prophets - peace be upon them all - no, but it was revealed to you, so will you not go now to the unjust people!!! Pharaoh's people: Should they not fear? It is as if he wished from God - the Almighty - for something almost impossible, but at the same time, he ordered you to go, no matter how great your fear, O Moses, no matter how much they try to control you, stop you, or harm you.

Can you imagine that this was the hesitation of Moses - peace be upon him - who did not want to carry out the task? No, on the contrary, he wants to air his complaint about his fears to the All-Powerful (God Almighty) so that he can remove his fears, and he has tried with God - Glory be to Him - before that in the situation of the stick that turned a snake, and he tried what the word certainty in God means in this life.

Moses - peace be upon him - was angry - so to speak - and he had a lisp in his tongue: he could not speak fluently, and with the speed of anger and rapid incomprehensible speech, the heavenly message could fall into the wrong place, so the request from Moses - peace be upon him - For his brother to be with him in the heavenly message, which is a strange request, as many brothers are jealous of the achievements of their brothers, and this is not an easy achievement for Moses - peace be upon him - (to carry a heavenly message) and he was raised in a palace, and Aaron was raised in the ruins of the Children of Israel. It is a type of intercession. Transcendentalism from Moses - peace be upon him.

Moses still presented his problems to God - the Almighty - to solve them for him, not hesitantly, but out of a desire to obtain the greatest amount of financial reassurance. They, that is, God’s messengers - are nothing but human beings, and the same human beings go through them, in terms of fear and other things, except that they are infallible from mistakes in the greatest things in life.

God - glory be to Him - said to Moses - peace be upon him: No, you do not care about anything I have mentioned so far, and his question will be answered immediately and in the moment, so Aaron became a prophet. Go, because God and Himself are the listeners to what will take place in this dialogue, the dialogue of those seeking help for the weak before the oppressors and the tyrants, Why would Pharaoh send the children of Israel and free them from slavery, to stand behind Moses and attack Pharaoh? A difficult request. Do you know how many slaves are in the world today? More than 10 million people around the world? Did you know that most of them are Muslims? From Mauritania, Chad, Somalia and others, They are sold to other countries as slaves, and none of them can escape from slavery, and all forms of deprivation of freedom are complete and not partial. Did you know that most of them are women and children? And that perhaps they will forget their religion, their rituals depending on who buys them...etc. etc. etc. Do you remember (to come to the wrongdoing people)? Have you ever contributed to making their problem known? Have you even thought about liberating someone from slavery from the zakat on your property? Do you think about them at all? The truth is that we are all addressed by the Lord of the Worlds’ speech to Moses and Aaron, each in his own field, even if the Pharaoh is your father, son, or a second-degree relative.

Here Pharaoh cannot send the children of Israel

Because they fully understand that the enslaved person is weak, so if he is strong, he takes revenge.

Have you seen God's Gentelness in writing?

Did you feel that they actually went to Pharaoh after one verse?

He said: Did we not raise you as a newborn among us?

Blame and reproach from a non-biological father towards Moses - peace be upon him - so do you feel that Moses lacks good manners - he was ungrateful to those who raised him? The answer: No, he stands for God, not for his desires. He stands for the oppressed, not for his interest in enjoying what the elite enjoy, But here is a question: How did Moses know that his origin was from the ruins of the Children of Israel, but that he was raised in the presidential palaces? Don't you remember his believing mother in Surat Al-Qasas? She must have secretly told him the truth when he was growing up in this unfair life.

You stayed with us for years

This is an indication that Moses - before the message - did not live in the presidential palaces, and another indication is that he grew up for approximately 30 years in the presidential palaces, and how did you know that? Of two things:

1 - ﴿And when he had reached his maturity and attained his level, We gave him wisdom and knowledge. And thus do We reward the doers of good. (Al-Qasas: 14) The most severe stage is known as puberty, while the level of maturity occurs at approximately the age of 30 to 33 years, which is the age of completion of manhood or womanhood

2 - Peace be upon him - He lived in Midian for 10 years according to the agreement with Shuaib - peace be upon him - if he was the Prophet of God Shuaib and was not just a righteous man.

The action was the killing of a cook from the ruling elite, and the story was known higher in the sayings of scholars. The most important thing is that Pharaoh bared his fangs against Moses, and the actual confrontation with him began, and the argument was defeated before Moses, the unrighteous son in the eyes of Pharaoh, who was very righteous to his Lord Almighty

- As they say: Only those with great minds can debate. If the idea dies down, the loud voices grow, and the hands grow stronger against the person with the strong idea.

And you are among the unbelievers

Infidel for who? Pharaoh claiming divinity, did you forget !!!
