Allah says

The Explanation of Imam Al-Tabari - may God have mercy on him -
When the two groups debated: Moses gathered, and they were the Children of Israel, and Pharaoh gathered, and they were the Copts, now Pharaoh, and his soldiers are following us and killing us. It was mentioned that they said that to Moses, out of pessimism about Moses,
When Moses reached the sea, and the stormy wind blew, Moses’ companions looked behind them at the wind, and at the sea in front of them, and they said what was stated in the words of the noble verse.
He said, “No. Indeed, with me is my Lord. He will guide me.” That is, to salvation. He promised me that, and there is no breaking his promise.
When Moses reached the sea, the wind was blowing, and the sea was throwing its current and waving like mountains. God revealed to the sea that it would not part until Moses struck it with a stick, So Joshua said to him: o Word of God, where did you command? He said: Here. He said: Then he crossed the sea to cover his hoof with water, The people went to do something like that, but they could not, and the one who muted his faith said to him: O Word of God, where did you command? He said: Here, He restrained his horse with his bridle until foam flew from his mouth, Then the sea forced it into the water, and it settled in the water, so God inspired Moses to strike the sea with your staff. So, Moses struck the sea with his staff, and it parted, If the man was standing on his horse, his saddle did not get wet, And His saying: (And every group of people was like a great mountain) God Almighty says: so, every group of the sea when Moses struck it was like a great mountain, It was reported that there were twelve factions divided according to the number of tribes, each tribe having its own division.
On the authority of Al-Suddi, he said: Pharaoh and his companions approached after Moses had divided the sea with the Children of Israel; When Pharaoh looked at the sea parting, he said: Do you not see that the sea is afraid of me? It may open for me so that I may overtake my enemies and kill them. That is the saying of God (And We brought them closer together, then the others.) He says: We approached, then the others are the family of Pharaoh. When Pharaoh stood on the roads, His horses refused to charge, so Gabriel, may God bless him and grant him peace, mounted a female horse, and the fort smelled the scent of a female horse, so it charged in its wake, until when they were the first to leave and the last of them entered, he commanded the sea to take them, and it crashed on them, and Gabriel singled out a scoop (pebbles and dirt) from the sea, so he began to put it in its mouth.
And We survived Moses from what We followed Pharaoh and his people from drowning in the sea, and from all the children of Israel who were with Moses.
Then We drowned Pharaoh and his Coptic people in the sea after We saved Moses from him and those with him.
In what I did to Pharaoh and those with him, drowning them in the sea when they denied the two messengers of Moses, and disobeyed my command after giving them an excuse and a warning, as a clear indication, O Muhammad, to your people from the Quraysh that this is my Sunnah for those who follow their path in denying My Messengers, and an admonition to them and a lesson, that they should do the same as they did, of denying you with the proof and signs that you have given them, and they will receive a punishment similar to what befell them, and you are a sign in my action with Moses, and your saving him after his long treatment of Pharaoh and his people from him, and I made him appear and bequeathed to him and his people their homes, their land, and their wealth, However, I will ask you to follow his path, if you are patient with his patience and convey the message to those to whom I sent you, O Muhammad, (And indeed, your Lord is Ever-Mighty) in His vengeance on those who disbelieved in Him and denied His messengers among His enemies. (The Most Merciful) to those who saved among His messengers and their followers from drowning and the torment with which He tortured the disbelievers.
And tell your people of the polytheists, O Muhammad, the news of Abraham
When he said to his father and his people: What do you worship?
We remain servants it, who continue to worship and serve it, and we have explained the meaning of abstinence with its evidence in the past, in a way that does not need to be repeated in this place. Ibn Abbas: Praying for their idols.
Do these gods hear your prayers when you call upon them?
Or will these idols benefit you and provide you with something for your worship of them, or will they harm you and punish you for abandoning their worship by robbing you of your wealth or destroying you?
(Rather, we found our fathers doing that.) We found those before us and they were not harmed. This indicates that they responded to him in this way. Their saying that our fathers worshiped it and devoted themselves to it to serve and worship it, so we do that in imitation of them and following their approach.
Abraham said to his people: Have you seen, O people, what you used to worship of these idols?
You and your fathers are the most ancient. By the most ancient, I mean: the most ancient of those whom Abraham was addressing, and they were the first before them who were like what those whom Abraham spoke to were in worshiping idols.
Have you seen every idol of yours and your fathers, for I am innocent of it and do not worship it, except the Lord of the worlds.
(It is He who created me - it is he who guides me) to right words and deeds, and directs me to guidance.
Who nourishes me with food and drink, and provides me with livelihood.
If my body becomes sick and ill, He will heal it and make it well.
He who causes me to die if He wishes, then revives me if He wishes after my death.
His saying, “I am sick,” and his saying: “Rather, the eldest of them did this,” and his saying to Sarah: “She is my sister.”
Make me a messenger to your creation, so that you may add me to the number of those whom you have sent among your messengers to your creation, entrusted with your revelation, and chosen for yourself.
A view around the verses
When the two groups saw each other
The two opposing sides stood face to face, and it was a decisive moment. They had been running and fearing this moment for a while, and then the worst historical moment came for them, As for God - Lord of the Worlds - it is the moment of salvation for the believers and the destruction of the stubborn unbelievers. Therefore, it is a historical moment by all standards, History will shortly write about this position, what generations and generations of the children of Israel will praise for them, and a shameful position for Pharaoh and his entourage. History will shortly write what was the outcome of the deniers who were stubborn against God and His signs.
Moses' companions said, "Indeed, we will overtake"
Look at the word (companions). When did they become Moses’ companions? What is the meaning of accompanying then? It is said: A friend is a lover. He either pulls you for good or pulls you for evil, and it is said: A man follows the religion of his friend, And Al-Khalil: He is sincere friend, so when did Moses’ companions (the children of Israel who were enslaved a short time ago) become friends? How did they believe Moses? How did they trust Him that He would not disgrace them or betray them? Or even has a political agenda with his adoptive father (Pharaoh) and he used slaves just for that!!! Question marks: However, what comes out of the heart enters the heart after a short while, you say: I do not love so-and-so and I do not know the reason for that, or vice versa, believe your intuition, believe your heart, for it understands what the language of lying eyes or controlled facial expressions does not understand, Moses’ companions became afraid, as the two groups approached each other very closely. They said: “We are aware.” This is a natural human fear, and it is possible that doubts might begin regarding Moses - peace be upon him - (You promised us nothing but...).
Despite the friendship
Moses - peace be upon him - his personality changed completely. Do you remember the scientific talk about personality change after major events in life? We change as events around us change, especially big things, Yesterday, he was afraid and anticipating as he left Egypt. Yesterday, he was standing against the enslaved people of Israel, fearing the oppression of Pharaoh, today, facing Pharaoh himself, standing behind him and his entourage, he stands like a lion, neither behind lethal weapons that cowardly those in front of him, nor the latest technology that subdues those in front of him, on the contrary, he was heroic, along with a handful of believers who believed in his message out of fear of Pharaoh and his work.
No
Confirmation of something he has not seen yet. What is this kind of certainty in God Almighty? This is what is required of every believer in God Almighty. There are events in life that are truly painful, psychologically and perhaps physically, In these critical moments, people divide into various sects. Among them is yesterday’s believer who has become today’s disbeliever, and among them is yesterday’s unbeliever who has become today’s believer, and everything in between (the skeptics until something is proven)
And you
Have you experienced severe pain - illness - the death of a loved one - the loss of everything in a war or other, and they called you a war survivor or a disease survivor or or, look at yourself in the moment of severe pain (a moment you do not know whether you are in or out in this life, do you believe in your Lord? Good even if you're going to die? Or you lose a loved one in life, or you lose your money, your position, etc., so you should know that this test (the test of your certainty in God) is an individual and not a collective one, even if you are with your clan facing one problem (let us assume it is a war), in accordance with the words of God Almighty, (And that God will test those who believe and destroy the disbelievers. (141)) Purification means: to refine the gold with fire: to purify it with fire and remove from it every impurity mixed with it. My dear brother: We are different metals, and some of us are tin and some of us are pure gold, we all have our own impurities that do not appear in normal times, but if the seasons of life come upon us, and the test comes (good or evil temptation), we enter the fire of temptation and emerge from it with pure metal, and you and your metal are either tin or gold that shines because it is free of impurities.
Indeed, my Lord is with me. He will guide me
This is Moses - peace be upon him - and you: Are you in war - famine - slavery - climate migration - confinement on the borders of European countries... etc. of major life events or even lesser events, despair of illness or delayed marriage or or or from Traumatic life events: Have you said to yourself and to those around you: I trust in my Lord to the degree that I know that He will guide me, and what does it mean that He will guide me? Do you remember what Moses, peace be upon him, said when he was leaving Egypt for the first time? (Perhaps, my Lord, You will guide me to the straight path.) The scholars taught us: This is a religious supplication, and when you reach a sufficient level of knowledge and religion, you forget this supplication. Look at Moses - peace be upon him - It was not a religious supplication in any way, but rather a worldly supplication (I go where and what do I do while he is fleeing from Egypt) and you: Do you know your compass well, how lucky you are? The majority of believers in God - glory be to Him - are afflicted today by not knowing their compass, so where is the certainty? So where, my Lord, may You guide me to the straight path (a world before religion) and see: what is the meaning of straight path, it is the middle, The one who is not extremist to the right or the left, God Almighty says (So he looked up and saw it in the flatness of Hell (55)). It does not matter the story of the noble verse. The most important thing is that the flatness of Hell, meaning the middle of Hell - God forbid, He is not at the beginning of it, wishing to get out, or at the end of it, despairing of getting out. Instead, he is in the middle of hell, that is, hell is attacking him from every side - may God protect you and us - we return to the straight path (God’s care will be upon you from every side). Let us all pray to God in these times that the Islamic nation is going through (perhaps my Lord will guide us to the straight path). Amen.
Certainty began to cast its shadow over Moses
(The fruit) So We revealed to Moses such-and-such. It is the same stick that turned into a snake, and it split the sea into two parts, each part of it like a great mountain, and you: Are you waiting for the staff of Moses or the ring of Solomon to make your dreams come true? Heaven's sendings of sensory miracles ended, and the glad tidings remained for the righteous servants of God and perhaps for the righteous guardians of God, And what are the good tidings: that you see here and there, the rescue of a drowning person or a friend or the emergence of an innocent soul from under the rubble, or or or the omens of God - Glory be to Him - occurring every minute, If you are a survivor of something major, it is not a grant, but a new exam, and so on until the paper is withdrawn completely.
That is, we introduced them to the sea and brought them closer to destruction
And you: Are you one of the unjust people? Or are you one of the believers? By the way, believers are the opposite of unbelievers. As for the unjust, they do not have the unjust in this life, And justice or injustice, you must have some power to be able to enforce your injustice or justice, so they are crucial matters in this life and you have to choose, as the consequence is not with the oppressors, even if they are Muslims.
The story of Moses - peace be upon him - ended here in a hurry, and we wanted to stand with it more than that, but the stories of Surat Al-Shu’ara are all short and their goal (the outcome) is to entertain the Messenger of God - may God bless him and curse those who the polytheists said about him that he was a poet, God Almighty will dispel this claim - and Moses and those with him from among the believers will be saved. May you see your individual or collective victory in your life and not after your death, O Lord.
By God - the Qur’an - we do not read it to waste time accumulating good deeds (not the letter alif, but the letter alif and the letter lam and the letter meem). The Qur’an came to entertain the Messenger of God - may God’s prayers and peace be upon him first, Secondly, do you believe God? Are you certain that your victory will inevitably come? Even if death comes, welcome to your loved one after an absence, even though I have not seen the happiness people have seen in this life. This is God’s will, even though I have not yet married, or given birth, or gotten the job that my heart longed for...etc... this is the will of God, and the will of God is better for the one who fears and is righteous...and there are gardens of bliss, We are a people who believe that death is not an end, but merely a crossing point to eternity next to the owner of this universe. O God, there is inexhaustible bliss.
To those who ask, “What are the signs of God about which He says, ‘Woe to those who deny the signs of God’? This is one of His signs in a time that we did not witness, but rumors about it were repeated and people transmitted it throughout the ages, so our knowledge of it was confirmed. Only the authentic ones are repeated by people throughout history, (And always and forever: How many people will there be, even if you strive for believers) And indeed, your Lord is the All-Mighty, the One who does not defeat, the Most Merciful to His faithful servants...
We take from the short story of Moses - peace be upon him - the following:
1 - The weak will be strengthened, the poor will become rich, and the rich may become poor due to the changing conditions of the world, as God Almighty said (And those days We alternate between the people)
2 - Every sin can be concealed except associating others with God, so try not to associate others with Him.
3 - All sins are erased with sincere repentance except injustice, because it is a transgression committed by you against others, so try not to wrong anyone.
4 - There are types of injustice (injustice to oneself through transgressions and sins - injustice to others: and injustice to others is conditional on the forgiveness of the wronged person towards you) and it is something that is not guaranteed in this life or in the afterlife, In the afterlife, everyone needs one good deed. If a person has wronged himself and does not get what he deserves in this world, he will be taken from the good deeds of the oppressor. If his good deeds are exhausted, then the bad deeds of the oppressed will be taken away and cast upon the oppressor. If the oppressor knows that it will be taken from him, what he wronged will be taken from him with complete ease.
5 - Certainty in God begins small and ends large, and certainty has a problem and a test. As for the problem: you do not see God and no one reassures you, but your certainty in God is what calms you down. As for the test: it makes everyone around you abandon you and leave you alone with your problem except to be tested and then take care of you.
6 - The story of Moses - peace be upon him - taught us that everything has an end, and the consequence of injustice is tragic, and every oppressor has a day, even if his existence and recklessness on this earth lasts for a long time.
7 - The story of Moses - peace be upon him - taught us that if God seizes an oppressor, He does not let him go. Perhaps his injustice was to enslaved slaves who wanted freedom and woke up from their sleep to pray for his destruction. If you can have no one pray against you, then do so.
And recite, O Muhammad, My faithful servants (the news of Abraham)
Why is it important news and not just news? The news: is the important news. The series is interrupted, and a tape is written at the bottom of the television window (breaking news). This is the news. Why is the story of Abraham - peace be upon him - news and not news... This is what his story, peace be upon him, will predict for us in the coming verses.
The six trials of Abraham - peace be upon him - began early in his life. In this trial, his shame did not exceed sixteen years. Imagine sixteen years of him facing all his people and his father, who raised him and who is said to be his uncle, and not the uncle like a real father.... Let us first imagine the scene:
A sixteen-year-old young man. His uncle, or even his father, was an antique dealer for the largest merchants at their time in history. This is how he sold idols, and idols were the most precious things they owned, so whoever owned them owned a lot. Of course, God knows best. The most important thing is that he stood before his father and all his people and said to them: What do you worship this? And imagine, people have an instinct to worship an external force stronger than themselves that defends them in times of adversity, and this is not my words, these are words of psychology - I will attach a paragraph shortly - but the problem is that someone attacks you regarding the one for whom you have spent your life, as if you are saying to him: You do not understand, and I understand more than you, and not all people, even if they are rich, are civilized. When you tell him that you are wrong, his ego rises, and he begins cursing, and perhaps extending evil hands... Let us continue the story, after this scientific break:
Humans "tend" to believe in gods and the afterlife
New research has found that humans have a natural tendency to believe in gods and the afterlife. Research suggests that people across many different cultures instinctively believe that part of their mind, soul, or soul lives on after death. Studies show that people are “dualistic” by nature and find it easy to imagine a separation between mind and body.
The researchers point out that the project was not aimed at proving the existence of God
Or otherwise, but he sought to find out whether concepts such as gods and the afterlife seemed to be entirely taught or fundamental expressions of human nature.
Some results of the Knowledge, Religion and Theology project:
Studies by Emily Reid Burdett and Justin Barrett, from the University of Oxford, suggest that children under five find it easier to believe in some supernatural properties of humans rather than to understand similar human limitations. The children were asked if their mother knew the contents of the box she could not see in it. Three-year-olds believe that their mother and God will always know the contents, but by the age of four, children begin to understand that their mothers do not see everything and know everything. However, children may continue to believe in all-seeing, all-knowing supernatural agents, such as a god or gods.
The strange thing is that the people answered Ibrahim, who was sixteen years old. It seems that the question woke them up for a moment after years of slumber. They said: We worship idols and remain devoted to them, and devotion is commitment and devotion.
Ibrahim - peace be upon him - began a mental dialogue.
Before we explain what he said, you must know that burning beginnings have bright endings. We are talking about the father of the prophets. We are talking about the friend of God. We are talking about the one whom we Muslims greet at least 5 times a day. In greetings in prayer, We are talking about those who called us Muslims. This was his life when he was a young man. He did not reach all these religious positions without going through tests and trials. He was stronger than them all, even though if one of us was afflicted with one of them, he would sing for the rest of his life that he was a hero and that no one had endured anything like him.
Do they hear you when you call?
He hit their ears with the truth for the first time. You pray and a person only prays to be in distress - the general public - so he alerts them. Do they hear you while you pray?
So, after fervent supplication in difficult times: Are these idols beneficial or harmful? Did they help you get a job? Did they shower you with money? Did they help you? Dear reader: Did you know that idols are worshiped to this day in the world, and not only that? It has become technology and it has become an Idol that you take with you to worship in the place you want, and the calamity is - may God protect us - They are thinking minds and have reached internationality with their thinking. Most of the countries that have idols worshiped other than God - glory be to Him - are classified as one-third of geniuses emerging from their lands. There is no power nor strength except in God.
They will start with justification, which is a psychological feeling and defensive tricks so that a person does not attack in his thoughts. They said: Rather, we found our fathers doing that. Some people say: An excuse is uglier than a sin, isn’t it? The English say a famous example: The third generation gives birth to a gentleman, meaning that the second-generation A middle generation is born in the aristocracy, but the grandchildren must grow up as gentlemen, do you imagine that they are first, second, or third generation? I answer: a second generation, so their parents are the first generation and then they are the second generation, but it is assumed that even if they do not become a gentleman, they are the best version of their fathers, this is how life taught us, but for them to be duplicate copies of their fathers, this is unreasonable.... Rather, we found our fathers So do they!!!!
The mental uprising began. He said, “Have you seen what you worship, you and your ancient fathers? They are my enemy except the Lord of the Worlds.” Here he warned them that: He has become intellectually different from them, and that they will begin to isolate themselves, and that there is something called the Lord of the Worlds about whom they know nothing (Glory be to Him).
Here Abraham - peace be upon him - began to talk to them about God - the Almighty - without a prior request from them. He began by explaining who he worships and they were astonished. No one opposed him in speaking or interrupted him, and he began by explaining what God would do for him, (He is the Creator: and He guides him to the straight path)
(He is the Creator: and He guides him to the straight path)
(It is He who feeds it and waters it. There is no seed or water in the earth except by the command of God - the Almighty - and He is the One who created the paths and leveled them from the beginning, and people labor and toil for the sake of planting, watering, and other things.)
And if you fall ill: He is the only healer, the one who cures diseases
And He who causes me to die, then comes: after death, He will revive me for the Day of Judgment
And the one who I hope will forgive me my sins on the Day of Judgment
Then he turned to God - the Almighty - in his entirety and forgot their existence and asked God - the Almighty - a request while they were watching: (My Lord, grant me judgment and join me with the righteous) and he asked for judgment: a political request from the Lord of the Worlds, for who is the one who rules in people’s issues or assumes the rule of a country or even a religious ruling? At that time (prophecy) And join me with the righteous: You are one of the best of the righteous, O our master Ibrahim. What is this extreme humility in supplication and conversation with God Almighty?
We benefit from what has passed
1 - A sophisticated rational conversation requires the courage of the heart and the courage of the body without harm, without insults or cursing. We did not hear from Abraham cursing his father, his uncle, or his people, but it is a meaningful rational dialogue despite his young age.
2 - Attributing causes to the cause (He created me... He guided me... He fed me and gave me drink... I fell ill... He healed me..) is one of the first morals of prophecy.
3 - Asking for judgment, even if it is a worldly judgment: Seek it from God - the Almighty - and He is the One who takes away dominion from whomever He wills, and He is the One who honors whomever He wills. Even if you take the reasons, then direct yourself entirely to asking God - the Majesty the Majestic.
4 - Join me with the righteous: It is not only a humble call, but also the goal of life. The goal of what we strive for, even if we have a political or religious rule or in any field, is to be among the righteous and not among the corrupt, the righteousness with rule is goodness that extends to others, and corruption with rule is corruption that extends to others. May God protect us and you.
