3046 – حدثنا أبو نعيم: حدثنا عمر بن ذر. (ح) قال: حدثني يحيى بن جعفر: حدثنا وكيع عن عمر بن ذر، عن أبيه، عن سعيد بن جبير، عن ابن عباس رضي الله عنهما قال: قال رسول الله ﷺ لجبريل: (ألا تزورنا أكثر مما تزورنا). قال: فنزلت: {وما نتنزل إلا بأمر ربك له ما بين أيدينا وما خلفنا}لآية.

3046 - Abu Naim told us: Omar bin Dhar told us. (H) He said: Yahya bin Jaafar told me: Waki’ told us on the authority of Omar bin Dhar, on the authority of his father, on the authority of Saeed bin Jubayr, On the authority of Ibn Abbas, may God be pleased with him, he said: The Messenger of God, peace and blessings be upon him, said to Gabriel: (Do you not visit us more than you visit us). He said: So it was revealed: {And we do not descend except by the command of your Lord. To Him belongs what is before us and what is behind us}the verse.
