The virtue of knowledge in Islam أهمية العلم في الإسلام

أولاً: القرآن الكريم

قال الله تعالي

"وَعَلَّمَكَ مَالَمْ تَكُنْ تَعْلَمُ وَكَانَ فَضْلُ اللَّهِ عَلَيْكَ عَظِيماً" [النساء:113] 

التعليق

إن رسول الله - صلي الله عليه وسلم - لم يكن متعلم القراءة والكتابة ، ومع ذلك ملأ الدنيا من شرقها لغربها بعلوم شتي في مختلف مناحي الحياة ، التي ننهل منها حتي يومنا هذا ، فهذا تاريخ أمم سابقة، وهذه جغراقيا الأرض وهذا تعدين ، وهذا نحو وصرف وبلاغة وغيرها من العلوم، لذا فإن فضل الله - تعالي - علي رسوله فعلاً عظيم ، وبالتالي من ينهل علم من هذا القرآن ويتفوق به يكون فضل الله عليه عظيم بسحب المسألة علي القياس . والله أعلي وأعلم .

قال تعالي

كَمَا أَرْسَلْنَا فِيكُمْ رَسُولاً مِّنكُمْ يَتْلُوا عَلَيْكُمْ آيَاتِنَا وَيُزَكِّيكُمْ وَيُعَلِّمُكُمُ الْكِتَابَ وَالْحِكْمَةَ ويُعَلِّمُكُم مَّا لَمْ تَكُونُواْ تَعْلَمُونَ"[البقرة: 151]))

التعليق

الهدف الأسمي من رسالة الرسول - صلي الله عليه وسلم - تعليم الناس الكتاب ( القرآن الكريم) والحكمة ، والحكمة هي السنة المطهرة وغيرها مما قلت حروفه وعظم معناه ، لأن الحكمة وظيفتها الأساسية أن تختصر لنا الطرق الخاطئة لأخري صحيحة ، والجميع لا يحب الإطالة لا في الكلام ولا في الفعل، فإذا وافقت كلماتك قصر، ومعني عظيم فأنت بليغ ، والبلاغةهي: حسن البيان وقوة التأَثير، ألا تظن معي أنها قريبة من الحكمة بهذا الشكل، ويعلمكم مالم تكونوا تعلمون: وأنت تجلس في مجلس علم دنيوي وليكن عن الطب ، ألا تقول بعد المحاضرة : الله ، أو العلم نور ، أو لماذا لم اسمع مثل هذا الكلام من قبل؟ بلي نقول، وعندما يمسح عنك جهل ما بحقيقة ما، تكون تعلمت مالم تكن تعلم قبل ذلك، والله أعلي وأعلم. :

قال تعالي

شَهِدَاللَّهُ أَنَّهُ لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ هُوَ وَالْمَلاَئِكَةُ وَأُوْلُواْ الْعِلْمِ قآئِمَاً بِالْقِسْطِ لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ هُوَ الْعَزِيزُ الْحَكِيمُ [آل عمران:18]

التعليق

هل أنت وزير؟ أو ذو منصب رفيع في دولتك؟ ربما نعم وربما لا، إذا كنت نعم أنت في منصب رفيع، عندما تريد أن يشهد لك أحد بالأمانة في عملك أو أي نوع من الشهادة ، من تطلب للشهادة رفيع الشأن في قومه أم قليل الشأن؟ بديهي أنك تختار علية القوم من أجل الشهادة لك، تخيل أن الله تعالي قرن بين العلماء والملائكة ومع نفسه ( ذاته العليا) ، الله لا يحب شريك ويغفر لأي أحد أي شيء إلا الشرك أو أن يساويه أحد بأحد، رضي أن يكون العلماء في نفس الصف في الشهادة مع الله نفسه والملائكة أن الله - تعالي - قائماُ بالعدل ، حتي لو كانت الحياة غير عادلة، نحن من قلبنا الموازين ، لكن انظر للوراء لبلايين السنين ستجد تنوع بيولوجي أصيل ، ستجد نظام بيئي علي أعلي مستوي، لا يأكل الغني حق الضعيف ، فالرزق موفور ، والحياة عادلة في تلك الآونة وتذكر معي

 ( إن الله لا يظلم الناس شئيا ولكن الناس أنفسهم يظلمون)

قال تعالي

يُؤْتِي الْحِكْمَةَ مَنْ يَشَاءُ وَمَنْ يُؤْتَ الْحِكْمَةَ فَقَدْ أُوتِيَ خَيْراً كَثِيراً وَمَا يَذَّكَّرُ إِلاَّ أُولُوا الْأَلْبَابِ " [البقرة:269]  

التعليق

وأنت تسير في الحياة ، ستجد الأرزاق متنوعة ، فمنهم من عنده المال الوفير وآخر صحة موفورة وآخر وآخر، وستجد قلة عندها حكمة ، وللحكمة تفاسير كثيرة ومنها ( الشكر) نعم الشكر في كل الأحوال حكمة ، لأنك لا يفوتك نعم حولك أبداً مهما ضاقت بك الأحوال، ستجد ما تتكأ عليه إلا إن كنت ظالماً شديد الظلم للآخرين، ودليلي في قول ذلك قوله تعالي وَلَقَدْ آتَيْنَا لُقْمَانَ الْحِكْمَةَ أَنِ اشْكُرْ لِلَّهِ ۚ وَمَن يَشْكُرْ فَإِنَّمَا يَشْكُرُ لِنَفْسِهِ ۖ وَمَن كَفَرَ فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ غَنِيٌّ حَمِيدٌ (12)  أول شيء علمه لقمان الحكيم لإبنه بعد لفظ الحكمة ( الشكر) اشكر أخي وكن ممتن بما أنت عليه، فمن لم يشكر علي القليل لا يشكر علي الكثير أبدا ، وهي حكمة وقليل من هم حكماء وقد سماهم الله - تعالي - أنهم أوتوا خيراً كثيرا .

قال تعالي

يَرْفَعِ اللَّهُ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا مِنْكُمْ وَالَّذِينَ أُوتُوا الْعِلْمَ درَجَاتٍ"[المجادلة: 11] 

التعليق

من الذي يرفع ؟ الله تعالي ، حيث إن العلم يرفع صاحبه من مستوي أدني إلي مستوي أعلي ، بالعلم والتواضع في العلم ، والتواضع لمن يعلمهم ، والصبر علي من يعلمهم ... سيأتي بيانه بمشيئة الله ، ويرفعهم درجات وليس درجة واحدة ، فكل علي حسب الإخلاص والجد والإجتهاد في العلم ، والصبر علي العلم ، والقدرة علي الإنفاق علي العلم، وحسب المشقة التي تتلقاها في العلم ، فمن الناس من يطلب العلم وهو علي سفر ومنهم من يذهب مرتاح البال والخاطر ولا يؤثر فيه شيء من التعب ، كل هذا محسوب عند الله - تعالي - لذا درجتك علي حسب تعبك وإخلاصك ونيتك ماذا تنتوي بهذا العلم ؟

قال تعالي

  "قُلْ هَلْ يَسْتَوِي الَّذِينَ يَعْلَمُونَ وَالَّذِينَ لا يعْلَمُونَ"[الزمر:9]  

التعليق

تجلس مع شخص تقول ليته لا يسكت أبداً من جمال ونظم كلامه ، وتجلس مع آخر تقول متي يذهب الوقت وانتهي من هذا الحوار الثقيل ، وانت أنت لست إله، لست بقيمة الأنبياء ، ولكن ممكن أن تكون من العلماء ، فيضيق صدرك بأقوال السفهاء ، أما عند الله - تعالي - فنفس الفكرة ( يقول لك: أأتخيل مجرد تخيل أن يستوي العلماء عنده - سبحانه وتعالي - وغير العلماء ... هذا لعمري في القياس شنيع .

ثانياً بعض الأحاديث المشرفة عن العلم

الحديث الأول

"من سَلك طريقًا يلتمِس فيه علمًا سهَّل الله له طريقًا إلى الجنّة، وإنّ الملائكةَ لتَضَع أجنِحَتَها لطالبِ العِلم رِضًا بما يَصنَع، وإنَّ العالم ليَستغفِر له من في السموات ومن في الأرض والحيتانُ في جوفِ الماء، وإن فضلَ العالم على العابِد كفَضلِ القمر لَيلةَ البدرِ عَلَى سائرِ الكَواكِب، وإنَّ العلماءَ ورثةُ الأنبياءِ، وإنّ الأنبياءَ لم يوَرِّثوا دينارًا ولا دِرهمًا، وإنما ورَّثوا العِلمَ، فمن أخذه أخذَ بحظٍّ وافر " سنن أبي داود: كتاب العلم (3641 

التعليق

1- لماذا المسلمين يحفظون الدين ولا يفهمون مغزاه، لو قلت بداية هذا الحديث لطفل في ابتدائي لأكمله لك بأسرع من البرق، وهل هذا التلميذ مجتهد علي الحقيقة، من المؤسف حقاً: أن في بعض البلدان العربية يوجد أكثر من نصف سكان هذا البلد أميين لا يحسنون القراءة والكتابة ونصف النصف الآخر، لا يحسنون القراءة والكتابة باللغة الأم (اللغة العربية) بسبب سوء التعلم في الصغر.

2 - طريق لعلم = طريق للجنة لعلنا نكتبها جرافيتي علي جدران المدارس مع صورة تثبت المعني.

3 - حيتان - نمل: ما هذه المنظومة الكونية التي تتحد في الهدف في الوصول لله تبارك وتعالي بالوصول إلأيه بالعلم، فماذا يعمل المتعلم إذن بعد العلم، ينشر العلم، وهذا ما تفكر فيه الحيتان والنمل تحديدا، فمن ألهمهم أن يستغفروا لطلاب العلم منذ البداية إذن؟

4 - ميراث الأنبياء (العلم) ولن نقول علوم الدين وفقط، بل علم رسول الله صلي الله عليه وسلم الدنيا قبل الدين، فما الفوائد التي نغرق فيها من أحاديثه المشرفة سواء في الطب النبوي أو الإعجاز العلمي في القرآن، أو حتي حديثه الشريف (انتم أعلم بأمور دنياكم) إلا إشارات متجددة عن أهمية العلم والعلماء.

الحديث الثاني

"إذا مات ابن آدَم انقطَعَ عَملُه إلا من ثلاث: صَدقةٍ جارية أو عِلم يُنتَفَع به أو وَلدٍ صالح يدعو له" أخرجه مسلم في صحيحه: كتاب الوصية (1631) من حديث أبي هريرة رضي الله عنه. 

التعليق

كلنا مشروع موتي، فأحياء اليوم هم أموات غدا، ومات الجميع، وعاش العلماء بعد موتهم أحياءا ، وانظر لهذا الدين العظيم، وهذا الرسول الأكرم صلي الله عليه وسلم، لم يغفل الفقير الميت ومن ليس له صدقة جارية ينتفع بها بعد موته، وانظر لم يغفل من لم ينجب لسبب دنيوي ، بل بدلاً من ذلك: ذكرهم أن ذكرهم متصل لما بعد الموت بسبب الصدقة الجارية أو العلم النافع ، فليحسن العلم ونشره وتعليمه للناس من لم ينجب ، والأغرب: ان أي نوع من العلم فلمم يحدد رسول الله صلي الله عليه وسلم الفقه أو المواريث أو الخط العربي مثلا ، لا ، بل أي علم ينتفع به أي أحد ولم يخص المسلمين ، سيكون عملا جاريا والإنسان ميت وربما نساه أهله.

الحديث الثالث

عن النبي -صلى الله عليه وسلم- أنه قال: (طلَبُ العِلمِ فَريضةٌ علَى كلِّ مُسلِمٍ).

التعليق

هل صليت الفجر اليوم؟ إذن ماذا تعلمت اليوم من جديد في أمر دينك أو دنياك؟ وهل كل يوم مطلوب مني أن اتعلم جديد، أنا تخرجت من الجامعة منذ سنين بعيدة، نعم: هل الصلاة تفرض كل سنة مرة أم كل يوم ؟ بالطبع كل يوم وهي فرض، العلم أيضا فرض فتذكر ذلك، وأضف ليومك حياة فوق الحياة.

الحديث الرابع

عن عبد الله ان عباس -ضي الله عنه- عن النبي -صلى الله عليه وسلم- قال: (مَن يُرِدِ اللهُ بِه خيرًا يُفقِّهْهُ في الدِّينِ).

التعليق

لماذا؟ هل تساءلت مرة في حياتك لماذا التفقه في الدين إرادة الخير لك من رب العالمين، أن تتفقه ما هي انواع المياه وكيف تغتسل، وكيف تسافر وتتاجر وتتزوج وتتعلم وتنفق مالك...الخ ما علاقته بأن رب العالمين أراد بك الخير، الحقيقة لا نعلم، ولكن التفكير يدعونا إلي التالي:

هناك حروب وصراعات مسلحة وحروب بالوكالة في زمننا هذا جعلت الحليم من الرجال حيران، أذهلت المرضعة عما ترضع، عفا الله عن المسلمين في كل مكان ، تجد في وسط الركام - لا اقصد ركام الجدران، بل ركام الناس من يخرج بينهما ويقول افعل ولا تفعل ، الماء هذا يصلح للوضوء، وهنا التيمم يجوز، أما السفر فالمرأة لا تصلح للسفر وحدها ... وهكذا ، كيف علم هذا ؟ بالعلم ، بالتفقه يوم لا حرب فيه، فعندما جاءت الحرب ، اجتر العلم، كما يجتر الجمل الطعام والماء وقتشح الطعام. والله أعلي واعلم.

الحديث الخامس

عن أبي هريرة -رضي الله عنه- عن النبي -صلى الله عليه وسلم- أنه قال : (الناسُ معادِنٌ كمعادِنِ الذهبِ والفضةِ، خيارُهم في الجاهلِيَّةِ، خيارُهم في الإسلامِ إذا فَقُهوا، والأرواحُ جنودٌ مُجَنَّدَةٌ فما تعارَفَ منها ائتلَفَ، وما تناكَرَ منها اختلَفَ).

التعليق

أنت ذهب، نعم أنت انت عبارة عن ذهب مطفي ، لم يصدأ ولن يصدأ لأنه نقي ومعدن أصيل، لكن لمعته ذهبت بريقها بدون علم، وبالعلم عاد يصفو ويلمع وينير إذا انعكس عليه الضوء أيضا، قم فانهض فتعلم العلم فأحسن الناس عند الله من تعلم لله ولتزود سواد المسلمين المتعلمين في زمن قلت فيه المتعلمين بسبب الحروب والبلدان التي حكوماتها لا تتقي الله في شعوبها في فرض التعليم علي ابناءها وتيسيره لهم علي الوجه الأكمل حتي لو كان هذا علي حساب المواطنين أنفسهم وفتح المدارس لمدة ساعة واحدة ليلية (إلزاما وليس اختيارا) لتحسين القراءة والكتابة والحساب.

الحديث السادس

عن أبي أمامة الباهلي رضي الله عنه- عن النبي -صلى الله عليه وسلم- قال: (فضلُ العالمِ علَى العابدِ كفضلي علَى أدناكُم ثمَّ قالَ رسولُ اللَّهِ -صلَّى اللَّهُ عليهِ وسلَّمَ-: إنَّ اللهَ وملائكتَهُ وأهلَ السَّماواتِ والأرضِ حتَّى النَّملةَ في جُحرِها، وحتَّى الحوتَ ليصلُّونَ علَى مُعلِّمِ النَّاسِ الخيرَ).

التعليق

معلم الناس ( الدين) لا ، معلم الناس الخير، إذا إذا كنت مدرس وتعلم الطلاب شيئاً ينفعهم ولا تبخل بعلمك ولا تستحوذ عليه من أجل دروس خصوصية ، فلك بإذن الله ثواب هذا الحديث ، هل تخيلت يوما وانت ذاهب إلي مدرستك أو جامعتك التي تلقي فيها محاضرة أو أي مكان غير هذا ، إن الحوت المفترسـ يفترس ناس، ويستغفر لك أنت ، ختي نظرت للنملة التي تفعصها بأرجلك وأنت تمشي هي من تستغفر لك فقط لأنك تعلم الناس الخير ، أنت لا تعيش وحدك، بل نعيش جميعا في منظومة كونية متناغمة ، والحيوانات تعلمنا كل يوم المشاركة ، المشاركة حتي في الدعاء ، هم يعملون مالا نعمله نحن .

قالوا عن العلم  

قال علي رضي الله عنه قال  

"كفى بالعلم شرفاً أنيدعيه من لا يحسنه، ويفرح به إذا نسب إليه، وكفى بالجهل ذماً أن يتبرأ منه من هوفيه". تذكرة السامع ص(70) 

قالوا عن العلم الشرعي  

تعلمه لله خشية 

وطلبه عبادة 

ومذاكرته تسبيح 

والبحث عنه جهاد 

وتعليمه لمن لا يعلمه صدقة 

وبذله لأهله قربة 

وهو الأنس في الوحشة 

والصاحب في الغربة 

والمحدث في الخلوة 

والدليل على السراءوالضراء 

والسلاح على الأعداء 

والزين عند الإخلاء 

يرفع الله به أقوامًا  

(فيجعلهم في الخير قادة وأئمة، تقتص آثارهم، ويقتدي بأفعالهم،وينتهى إلى رأيهم، ترغب الملائكة في خلتهم، وبأجنحتها تمسحهم، يستغفر لهم كل رطب ويابس وحيتان البحر وهوامه وسباع البر وأنعامه)

First: The Holy Quran

Allah the Almighty said

{وعلمك ما لم تكن تعلم وكان فضل الله عليك عظيما} [النساء: 113]

"And He taught you what you did not know, and the favor of Allah upon you has been great" [An-Nisa: 113]

The comment

The Messenger of Allah - may Allah bless him and grant him peace - was not educated in reading and writing, and yet he filled the world from east to west with various sciences in different aspects of life, from which we draw to this day. This is the history of previous nations, this is the geography of the earth, this is mining, this is grammar, morphology, rhetoric, and other sciences. Therefore, the favor of Allah the Almighty upon His Messenger is truly great, and thus whoever draws knowledge from this Quran and excels in it, Allah's favor upon him is great by applying the matter to analogy. And Allah is Most High and All-Knowing.

Allah the Almighty said:

كما أرسلنا فيكم رسولاً منكم يتلو عليكم آياتنا ويزكيكم ويعلمكم الكتاب والحكمة ويعلمكم ما لم تكونوا تعلمون [البقرة: 151]))

As We have sent among you a Messenger from among you, reciting to you Our verses and purifying you and teaching you the Book and wisdom and teaching you that which you did not know. [Al-Baqarah: 151]))

The comment

The supreme goal of the Messenger’s message - may God bless him and grant him peace - is to teach people the Book (the Holy Quran) and wisdom. Wisdom is the pure Sunnah and other things whose letters are few but whose meaning is great, because the basic function of wisdom is to shorten the wrong paths for us to other correct ones. Everyone does not like to prolong neither speech nor action. So, if your words match brevity and a great meaning, then you are eloquent. Eloquence is: good expression and strong influence. Don’t you think that it is close to wisdom in this? The form, and teaches you what you did not know: And you are sitting in a worldly knowledge session, let it be about medicine, do you not say after the lecture: God, or knowledge is light, or why have I not heard such talk before? Yes, we say, and when your ignorance of a truth is erased, you will have learned what you did not know before, and God is Most High and All-Knowing.

Allah says

شهد الله أنه لا إله إلا هو والملائكة وأولوا العلم قائماً بالقسط لا إله إلا هو العزيز الحكيم [آل عمران:18]

Allah bears witness that there is no god except Him, and [so do] the angels and those of knowledge - maintaining justice. There is no god except Him, the Exalted in Might, the Wise. [Al Imran:18]

The comment

Are you a minister? Or someone with a high position in your country? Maybe yes and maybe no, if yes you are in a high position, when you want someone to testify to your honesty in your work or any kind of testimony, who do you ask for testimony, someone of high status among his people or someone of low status? It is obvious that you choose the elite of the people to testify for you, imagine that God Almighty has linked the scholars with the angels and with Himself (His Supreme Self), God does not love a partner and forgives anyone anything except polytheism or that someone equates Him with anyone, He is pleased for the scholars to be in the same row in testifying with God Himself and the angels that God - Almighty - is just, even if life is unfair, we are the ones who turned the scales, but look back billions of years and you will find genuine biological diversity, you will find an ecosystem at the highest level, the rich do not eat the rights of the weak, sustenance is abundant, and life is fair at that time and remember with me (Indeed, God does not wrong people at all, but people wrong themselves)

Allah the Almighty said:

يؤتي الحكمة من يشاء ومن يؤت الحكمة فقد أوتي خيراً كثيراً وما يذكر إلا أولو الألباب [البقرة: 269]

He grants wisdom to whom He wills, and whoever has been granted wisdom has certainly been granted much good. And none will remember except those of has reson. [Al-Baqarah: 269]

The comment

As you walk through life, you will find diverse provisions. Some have abundant wealth, others have good health, and others and others. You will find few who have wisdom. Wisdom has many interpretations, including (thanksgiving). Yes, thanksgiving in all circumstances is wisdom, because you will never miss out on blessings around you, no matter how difficult your circumstances are. You will find something to lean on unless you are extremely unjust to others. My evidence for saying that is the Almighty’s saying: And We had certainly given Luqman wisdom, saying, “Be grateful to Allah.” And whoever is grateful is grateful for the benefit of himself. And whoever disbelieves - then indeed, Allah is Free of need and Praiseworthy. (12) The first thing that Luqman the Wise taught his son after the word wisdom was (gratitude). Be grateful, my brother, and be grateful for what you have. Whoever is not grateful for a little will never be grateful for a lot. This is a wisdom, and few are wise, and Allah - the Most High - called them that they were given much good.

Allah the Highest said:

يرفع الله الذين آمنوا منكم والذين أوتوا العلم درجات [المجادلة: 11]

Allah raises those who have believed among you and those who were given knowledge, by degrees. [Al-Mujadila: 11]

The comment

Who raises? Allah the Most High, as knowledge raises its possessor from a lower level to a higher level, through knowledge and humility in knowledge, humility to those who teach them, and patience with those who teach them... Its explanation will come, Allah willing, and He raises them by degrees and not by one degree, so each according to sincerity, seriousness and diligence in knowledge, patience in knowledge, and the ability to spend on knowledge, and according to the hardship that you receive in knowledge, so, some people seek knowledge while they are traveling and some of them go with peace of mind and heart and nothing of fatigue affects them, all of this is counted by Allah - the Most High - so your degree is according to your fatigue, sincerity and intention. What do you intend with this knowledge?

God Almighty said

"قُلْ هَلْ يَسْتَوِي الَّذِينَ يَعْلَمُونَ وَالَّذِينَ لا يَعْلَمُونَ" [الزمر: 9]

“Say: Are those who know equal to those who do not know?” [Az-Zumar: 9]

The comment

You sit with someone and say: I wish he would never stop because of the beauty and re - order of his speech, and you sit with another and say: When will the time pass and I will finish this heavy conversation? You are not a God, you are not as valuable as the prophets, but you may be one of the scholars, and your chest becomes tight with the words of the foolish. As for God Almighty, the idea is the same (He says to you: Can I even imagine that scholars are equal to non-scholars in His sight - Glory be to Him and Exalted be He... This is, by God, a hideous analogy.

Secondly, some honorable hadiths about the knowledge

The first hadith

"Whoever takes a path in search of knowledge, Allah will make easy for him a path to Paradise. The angels will spread their wings for the seeker of knowledge, pleased with what he does. The scholar is asked to be forgiven by those in the heavens and those on the earth, and the whale in the depths of the water. The superiority of the scholar over the worshipper is like the superiority of the moon on the night of the full moon over all the other stars. The scholars are the heirs of the prophets. The prophets did not leave behind dinars or dirhams, but they left behind knowledge. Whoever takes it has taken a great portion." Sunan Abi Dawood: Book of Knowledge (3641)

The commentary

1- Why do Muslims memorize the religion and not understand its meaning? If you were to tell the beginning of this hadith to a child in elementary school, he would complete it for you faster than lightning. Is this student In fact, it is truly unfortunate that in some Arab countries, more than half of the population of this country is illiterate and cannot read and write, and the other half cannot read and write in their mother tongue (Arabic) due to poor learning at a young age.

2 - A path to knowledge = a path to heaven, perhaps we can write it in graffiti on the walls of schools with a picture that proves the meaning.

3 - The whales - the Ants: What is this cosmic system that unites in the goal of reaching God Almighty by reaching Him with knowledge? So, what does the learner do after knowledge? Spread knowledge, and this is what whales and ants specifically think about. So, who inspired them to ask forgiveness for students of knowledge from the beginning then?

4 - The legacy of the prophets (knowledge) and we will not say religious knowledge only, but the knowledge of the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, was of the world before religion. So, what are the benefits that we drown in from his honorable hadiths, whether in prophetic medicine or the scientific miracle in the Qur’an, or even his noble hadith (You are more knowledgeable about your worldly affairs) except renewed indications about the importance of knowledge and scholars.

The second hadith

"When the son of Adam dies, his deeds come to an end except for three: ongoing charity, beneficial knowledge, or a righteous child who prays for him." Narrated by Muslim in his Sahih: Book of Wills (1631) on the authority of Abu Hurayrah, may God be pleased with him.

The comment

We are all a project of death, the living today are the dead tomorrow, and everyone died, and scholars lived after their death alive, and look at this great religion, and this most honorable Messenger, may God bless him and grant him peace, did not neglect the poor dead and those who do not have ongoing charity that benefits them after their death, and look why he did not neglect those who did not have children for a worldly reason, but instead: reminded them that their mention is connected after death because of ongoing charity or beneficial knowledge, so let the one who did not have children improve knowledge and spread it and teach it to people, and the strangest thing: any type of knowledge, the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, did not specify jurisprudence or inheritance or Arabic calligraphy for example, no, rather any knowledge that benefits anyone and is not specific to Muslims, will be an ongoing work and the person is dead and perhaps his family has forgotten him.

Hadith 3

On the authority of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, that he said: (Seeking knowledge is an obligation upon every Muslim).

The comment

Did you pray Fajr today? So, what did you learn today about your religion or your worldly life? Am I required to learn something new every day? I graduated from university many years ago. Yes: Is prayer obligatory once a year or every day? Of course every day and it is obligatory. Knowledge is also obligatory, so remember that, and add life to your day on top of life.

Hadith 4

On the authority of Abdullah that Abbas - may Allah be pleased with him - on the authority of the Prophet - may Allah's prayers and peace be upon him - said: (Whoever Allah wants good for, He gives him well versed in religion).

The comment

Why? Have you ever wondered in your life why understanding religion is the will of good for you from the Lord of the Worlds, that you understand the types of water and how to wash yourself, and how to travel, trade, marry, learn and spend your money...etc. What is its relationship to the fact that the Lord of the Worlds wanted good for you by that? The truth is that we do not know, but thinking calls us to the following:

There are wars, armed conflicts and proxy wars in our time that have made the wise man confused, and have made the nursing mother confused about what she is nursing, may Allah forgive Muslims everywhere, you find in the middle of the rubble - I do not mean the rubble of walls, but the rubble of people, someone who comes out between them and says do and do not do, this water is suitable for ablution, and here tayammum is permissible, but as for traveling, a woman is not suitable for traveling alone... and so on, how did he know this? With knowledge, with understanding on a day when there is no war, so when war came, knowledge was chewed, as a camel chews food and water and the food became scarce. And Allah is Most High and All-Knowing.

Hadith 5

On the authority of Abu Hurairah - may Allah be pleased with him - on the authority of the Prophet - may Allah's prayers and peace be upon him - that he said: (People are like mines of gold and silver, the best of them in the pre-Islamic era, the best of them in Islam if they well versed, and souls are enlisted soldiers, so those that recognize each other will come together, and those that do not recognize each other will differ).

The comment

You are gold, yes you are you are pure gold, it did not rust and will not rust because it is pure and a genuine metal, but its shine was lost without knowledge, and with knowledge it became clear, shiny and bright again if the light was reflected on it as well, so get up and learn knowledge because the best people in the sight of God are those who learn for God and to provide the educated masses of Muslims in a time when educated people have decreased due to wars and countries whose governments do not fear God in their people in imposing education on their children and facilitating it for them in the most complete way even if this was at the expense of the citizens themselves and opening schools for one hour at night (mandatory and not optional) to improve reading, writing and arithmetic.

Hadith 6

On the authority of Abu Umamah al-Bahili, may God be pleased with him, on the authority of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, who said: (The superiority of the scholar over the worshipper is like my superiority over the least of you. Then the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: God, His angels, the inhabitants of the heavens and the earth, even the ant in its hole, and even the fish, send blessings upon the one who teaches people goodness.)

The comment

People's teacher (religion) No, people's teacher for goodness, so if you are a teacher and you teach students something that benefits them and you do not skimp on your knowledge and do not hoard it for private lessons, then you will have, God willing, the reward of this hadith, have you ever imagined that you are going to your school or university where you give a lecture or any other place other than this, that a predatory whale prays on people and asks forgiveness for you, even if you look at the ant that you crush with your feet while you walk, it is the one asking forgiveness for you only because you teach people goodness, you do not live alone, rather we all live in a harmonious cosmic system, and animals teach us every day to participate, to participate even in supplication, they do what we do not do.

They said about knowledge

Ali, may God be pleased with him, said

"It is enough for knowledge to be an honor that someone who does not know it claims it, and rejoices in it if it is attributed to him, and it is enough for ignorance to be a disgrace that someone who is in it disowns it." The Listener's Reminder, p. (70)

They said about the religious knowledge

Learning it is fear of Allah

The seeking it is worship

The reviewing it is glorification

The seeking it is jihad

The teaching it to someone who does not know it is charity

The giving it to his family is an act of devotion

It is a comfort in loneliness

A companion in exile

A source of conversation in seclusion

A guide in prosperity and adversity

A weapon against enemies

A decoration in private

Allah raises people by it

(He makes them leaders and imams in goodness, their traces are followed, their actions are emulated, and their opinion is adhered to. The angels desire their seclusion, and wipe them with their wings. Everything moist and dry, the whales of the sea and its creatures, the beasts of the land and its livestock, seek forgiveness for them)
