تنص المادة 1 من ميثاق الحقوق الأساسية للاتحاد الأوروبي (2000) على
أن "كرامة الإنسان مصونة. يجب احترامها وحمايتها"
وتتعامل المواد من 12 إلى 35 من الدستور الهندي مع الحقوق الأساسية
