  • 3681 - While I was sleeping, I saw people being presented to me بَيْنَا أَنَا نَائِمٌ، رَأَيْتُ النَّاسَ عُرِضُوا عَلَيَّ

    [٣٦٨١] حدثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ بُكَيْرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا اللَّيْثُ عَنْ عُقَيلٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو أُمَامَةَ بْنُ سَهْلِ بْنِ حُنَيْفٍ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ: "بَيْنَا أَنَا نَائِمٌ، رَأَيْتُ النَّاسَ عُرِضُوا عَلَيَّ وَعَلَيْهِمْ قُمُصٌ، فَمِنْهَا مَا يَبْلُغُ الثَّدْيَ)، وَمِنْهَا مَا يَبلُغُ دُونَ ذَلِكَ، وَعُرِضَ عَلَيَّ عُمَرُ وَعَلَيْهِ قَمِيصٌ اجْتَرَّهُ "، قَالُوا: فَمَا أَوَّلْتَهُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ؟ قَالَ: "الدِّينَ [3681] Yahya ibn Bukayr narrated to us, Al-Layth narrated to us, on the authority of Uqayl, on the authority of Ibn Shihab, who said: Abu Umamah ibn Sahl ibn Hunayf informed me, on the authority of Abu Sa`id Al-Khudri, who said: I heard the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, say: “While I was sleeping, I saw people being presented to me, and they were wearing shirts, some of which reached the breast, and some of which reached less than that.” Omar was shown to me, and he was wearing a shirt that he had pulled on. They said: What is the interpretation of that, O Messenger of God? He said: “ The Religion.”

  • 3308 - I heard the Messenger of God PBUH say: “Pride and arrogance are among الفخر والخيلاء في الفدادين أهل الوبر

    3308 – حدثنا أبو اليمان: أخبرنا شعيب، عن الزهري قال: أخبرني أبو سلمة بن عبد الرحمن: أن أبا هريرة رضي الله عنه قال: سمعت رسول الله ﷺ يقول: (الفخر والخيلاء في الفدادين أهل الوبر، والسكينة في أهل الغنم، والإيمان يمان، والحكمة يمانية). 3308 - Abu Al-Yaman told us: Shu`ayb told us, on the authority of Al-Zuhri, who said: Abu Salamah bin Abd Al-Rahman told me: Abu Hurairah, may God be pleased with him, said: I heard the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, say: “Pride and arrogance are among the people of the fur, and tranquility is among the people of the sheep, and faith is Yemeni, and wisdom is Yemeni.”

  • 3307 - From here came the tribulations, من ها هنا جاءت الفتن

    3307 – حدثنا علي بن عبد الله: حدثنا سفيان، عن إسماعيل، عن قيس، عن أبي مسعود، يبلغ به النبي ﷺ قال: (من ها هنا جاءت الفتن، نحو المشرق، والجفاء وغلظ القلوب في الفدادين أهل الوبر، عند أصول أذناب الإبل والبقر، في ربيعة ومضر). أهل الوبر هم البدو وأهل الصحراء 3307 - Ali bin Abdullah told us: Sufyan told us, on the authority of Ismail, on the authority of Qais, on the authority of Abu Masoud, on the authority of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, who said: “From here came the tribulations, towards the east, and the harshness and hardness of hearts among the people of the fur, at the roots of the tails of camels and cows, in Rabi’ah and Mudar.” The people of the hair are the Bedouins and the people of the desert

  • 3304 - the best of them in the pre-Islamic era are the best of them in Islam خيارهم في الجاهلية خيارهم في الإسلام

    3304 – حدثني إسحاق بن إبراهيم: أخبرنا جرير، عن عمارة، عن أبي زرعة، عن أبي هريرة رضي الله عنه، عن رسول الله ﷺ قال: (تجدون الناس معادن، خيارهم في الجاهلية خيارهم في الإسلام إذا فقهوا، وتجدون خير الناس في هذا الشأن أشد له كراهية، وتجدون شر الناس ذا الوجهين، الذي يأتي هؤلاء بوجه، ويأتي هؤلاء بوجه). 3304 - Ishaq bin Ibrahim told me: Jarir told us, on the authority of Amara, on the authority of Abu Zur’ah, on the authority of Abu Hurairah, may God be pleased with him, on the authority of the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, who said: (You will find people of different types, the best of them in the pre-Islamic era are the best of them in Islam if they excel in jurspendence. You will find the best of people in this regard to be the most hateful to him, and you will find the worst of people to be the two-faced, who comes to these people with one face and comes to those people with another face.)

  • 3302 - Did you see that the Prophet PBUH, was from Mudar?

    3302 – حدثنا قيس بن حفص: حدثنا عبد الواحد: حدثنا كليب بن وائل قال: حدثتني ربيبة النبي ﷺ زينب بنت أبي سلمة، قال: قلت لها: أرأيت النبي ﷺ أكان من مضر؟ قالت: فممن كان إلا من مضر، من بني النضر بن كنانة. 3302 - Qais bin Hafs narrated to us: Abd al-Wahid narrated to us: Kulayb bin Wa’il narrated to us: The Prophet’s foster daughter, Zaynab bint Abi Salamah, narrated to me: I said to her: Did you see that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, was from Mudar? She said: Then from those who were not from Mudar, from Banu al-Nadr bin Kinanah.

  • 3301 - who is the most honorable of people? يا رسول الله من أكرم الناس؟

    3301 – حدثنا محمد بن بشار: حدثنا يحيى بن سعيد، عن عبيد الله قال: حدثني سعيد بن أبي سعيد، عن أبيه، عن أبي هريرة رضي الله عنه قال: قيل: يا رسول الله من أكرم الناس؟ قال: (أتقاهم). قالوا: ليس عن هذا نسألك، قال: (فيوسف نبي الله). 3301 - Muhammad bin Bashar told us: Yahya bin Saeed told us, on the authority of Ubaidullah, who said: Saeed bin Abi Saeed told me, on the authority of his father, on the authority of Abu Hurairah, may God be pleased with him, who said: It was said: O Messenger of God, who is the most honorable of people? He said: (The most pious of them). They said: We are not asking you about this. He said: (Then Joseph, the Prophet of God).

  • 3300 - And We made you into peoples and tribes, وجعلناكم شعوبا وقبائل

    3300 – حدثنا خالد بن يزيد الكاهلي: حدثنا أبو بكر، عن أبي حصين، عن سعيد بن جبير، عن ابن عباس رضي الله عنهما: {وجعلناكم شعوبا وقبائل}. قال: الشعوب القبائل العظام، والقبائل البطون. 3300 - Khalid bin Yazid Al-Kahili narrated to us: Abu Bakr narrated to us, on the authority of Abu Hasin, on the authority of Saeed bin Jubair, on the authority of Ibn Abbas, may God be pleased with them both: {And We made you into peoples and tribes}. He said: The peoples are the great tribes, and the tribes are the clans.

  • 3644 - was a red gland like a pigeon’s egg غُدَّةً حَمْرَاءَ مِثْلَ بَيْضَةِ الْحَمَامَةِ

    ٣٦٤٤ - حَدَّثَنَا ‌سَعِيدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ الطَّالَقَانِيُّ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا ‌أَيُّوبُ بْنُ جَابِرٍ ، عَنْ ‌سِمَاكِ بْنِ حَرْبٍ ، عَنْ ‌جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ قَالَ: «كَانَ خَاتَمُ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَعْنِي الَّذِي بَيْنَ كَتِفَيْهِ» غُدَّةً حَمْرَاءَ مِثْلَ بَيْضَةِ الْحَمَامَةِ 3644 - Sa`id ibn Ya`qub al-Talaqani narrated: Ayyub ibn Jabir narrated on the authority of Simaak ibn Harb on the authority of Jabir ibn Samurah who said: “The seal of the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, meaning the one between his shoulders, was a red gland like a pigeon’s egg.”

  • The door of the seal of prophecy باب خاتم النبوة

    عن أبي زيد عمرو بن أخطب الأنصاري قال: قال لي رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: ((يا أبا زيد، ادْنُ مني فامسح ظهري، فمسحت ظهره فوقعت أصابعي على الخاتَمِ، قلت: وما الخاتم؟ قال: شعرات مجتمعات))؛ [رواه أحمد، وابن سعد، وصححه ابن حبان، والحاكم، ووافقه الذهبي] عن أبي نضرة العوقي قال: ((سألت أبا سعيد الخدري عن خاتَمِ رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم؟ يعني: خاتم النبوة، فقال: كان في ظهره بَضْعَةٌ ناشزة)).  أبو نضرة العوقي  اسمه أبو المنذر بن مالك. كان في ظهره بضعة ناشزة  أي: كأن الخاتم في ظهره الشريف قطعة لحم ظاهرة، والناشزة؛ أي: المرتفعة. في صحيح مسلم عن عبدالله بن سرجس رضي الله عنه، قال: ((أتيت رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم وهو في ناس من أصحابه، فدُرْتُ هكذا من خلفه، فعرف الذي أريد، فألقى الرداء عن ظهره، فرأيت موضع الخاتَمِ على كتفيه مثل الجمع حولها خِيلانٌ كأنها ثآلِيلُ، فرجعت حتى استقبلته، فقلت: غفر الله لك يا رسول الله، فقال: ولك، فقال القوم: أستغفر لك رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم؟ فقال: نعم، ولكم؛ ثم تلا هذه الآية: ﴿ وَاسْتَغْفِرْ لِذَنْبِكَ وَلِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَالْمُؤْمِنَاتِ ﴾ [محمد: 19])   • (الجمع): أي: مثل جمع الكف، وهو هيأته بعد جمع الأصابع. • (خيلان): جمع خال، وهو نقطة تضرب إلى السواد تسمى شامة. • (‏كأنها ثآليل): جمع (ثؤلول) وهو خُرَّاج صغير كالحِمِّصة يظهر على الجسد له نتوء واستدارة. On the authority of Abu Zaid Amr ibn Akhtab al-Ansari, who said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said to me: “O Abu Zaid, come near me and wipe my back.” So I wiped his back and my fingers fell on the ring. I said: “What is the ring?” He said: “Hairs gathered together.” [Narrated by Ahmad and Ibn Sa’d, and authenticated by Ibn Hibban and al-Hakim, and al-Dhahabi agreed with him] On the authority of Abu Nadrah Al-Awqi, he said: “I asked Abu Saeed Al-Khudri about the seal of the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace? Meaning: the seal of prophecy. He said: There was a (a protruding piece of flesh) spot on his back.” In Sahih Muslim, on the authority of Abdullah bin Sarjis, may God be pleased with him, he said: “I came to the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, while he was with some of his companions, so I went around behind him like this, and he knew what I wanted, then he threw the cloak off his back, and I saw the place of the ring on his shoulders like a group, surrounded by a mole like warts. So I went back until I faced him, and I said: May Allah forgive you, O Messenger of Allah. He said: And for you. The people said: Should I ask forgiveness for you, O Messenger of Allah? He said: Yes, and for you. Then he recited this verse: “And ask forgiveness for your sin and for the believing men and believing women.” [Muhammad: 19]

  • 3641 - I have never seen anyone smile more than the Messenger of God, ما رأيت أحدا أكثر تبسما من رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم

    3641 حدثنا قتيبة حدثنا ابن لهيعة عن عبيد الله بن المغيرة عن عبد الله بن الحارث بن جزء قال ما رأيت أحدا أكثر تبسما من رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال أبو عيسى هذا حديث حسن غريب 3641 Qutaybah narrated to us, Ibn Lahi’ah narrated to us, on the authority of Ubayd Allah ibn al-Mughira, on the authority of Abdullah ibn al-Harith ibn Juz’, who said: I have never seen anyone smile more than the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace. Abu Isa said: This is a good and strange hadith.

  • 3634 - It comes to me like the ringing of a bell, يأتيني في مثل صلصلة الجرس

    3634 حدثنا إسحق بن موسى الأنصاري حدثنا معن حدثنا مالك عن هشام بن عروة عن أبيه عن عائشة أن الحارث بن هشام سأل رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم كيف يأتيك الوحي فقال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم [ ص: 558] يأتيني في مثل صلصلة الجرس وهو أشده علي وأحيانا يتمثل لي الملك رجلا فيكلمني فأعي ما يقول قالت عائشة فلقد رأيت رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم ينزل عليه الوحي في اليوم ذي البرد الشديد فيفصم عنه وإن جبينه ليتفصد عرقا قال أبو عيسى هذا حديث حسن صحيح 3634 Ishaq bin Musa al-Ansari told us, Ma’n told us, Malik told us, on the authority of Hisham bin Urwa, on the authority of his father, on the authority of Aisha, that al-Harith bin Hisham asked the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, how the revelation comes to you. The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: [p. 558] It comes to me like the ringing of a bell, and that is the most difficult for me. Sometimes the angel appears to me as a man and speaks to me, and I understand what he says. Aisha said: I saw the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, being inspired on a very cold day, and then He would leave him and his forehead would be dripping with sweat. Abu Isa said: This is a good and authentic hadith.

  • 3623 - He was not clearly tall,” nor was he short, nor was he completely white, لَمْ يَكُنْ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِالطَّوِيلِ الْبَائِنِ» وَلَا بِالْقَصِيرِ، وَلَا بِالْأَبْيَ

    ٣٦٢٣ - حَدَّثَنَا ‌قُتَيْبَةُ، عَنْ ‌مَالِكِ بْنِ أَنَسٍ (ح) وَحَدَّثَنَا ‌الْأَنْصَارِيُّ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا ‌مَعْنٌ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا ‌مَالِكُ بْنُ أَنَسٍ ، عَنْ ‌رَبِيعَةَ بْنِ أَبِي عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ ‌أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ يَقُولُ: «لَمْ يَكُنْ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِالطَّوِيلِ الْبَائِنِ» وَلَا بِالْقَصِيرِ، وَلَا بِالْأَبْيَضِ الْأَمْهَقِ وَلَا بِالْآدَمِ، وَلَيْسَ بِالْجَعْدِ الْقَطَطِ وَلَا بِالسَّبْطِ، بَعَثَهُ اللهُ عَلَى رَأْسِ أَرْبَعِينَ سَنَةً، فَأَقَامَ بِمَكَّةَ عَشْرَ سِنِينَ وَبِالْمَدِينَةِ عَشْرًا، وَتَوَفَّاهُ اللهُ عَلَى رَأْسِ سِتِّينَ سَنَةً، وَلَيْسَ فِي رَأْسِهِ وَلِحْيَتِهِ عِشْرُونَ شَعَرَةً بَيْضَاءَ. هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ. الْأَمْهَقِ كان لونُ جلده وشعره وعينيه أبيض ناصع البياض بغير حُمْرة وهو عَيبٌ في الإنسان وإنْ كان غيرُ مَرَضيّ الآدم الآدم من الناس الأسمر، أو الأسود الْقَطَطِ الشديدُ جُعودةِ الشعر السَّبْطِ الشعر المسترسل غير الجعد 3623 - Qutaybah narrated to us, on the authority of Malik ibn Anas (H) and Al-Ansari narrated to us, he said: Ma’n narrated to us, he said: Malik ibn Anas narrated to us, on the authority of Rabi’ah ibn Abi Abd Al-Rahman that he heard Anas ibn Malik say: “The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, was not clearly tall,” nor was he short, nor was he completely white, Nor is he of Adam, nor is he very curly, nor is he with straight hair. God sent him at the age of forty years, so he stayed in Mecca for ten years and in Medina for ten, and God took him at the age of sixty years, and there were not twenty white hairs on his head or beard. This is a good and authentic hadith.
