Allah says
۞ When you ascend and do not turn away from anyone, and the Messenger called you in your last, So, your rewarded is grief upon grief, so that you may not grieve for what you has missed or what has befallen you. And God is Expert of what you do. Surah Al Imran
The explanation of the noble verse
The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, called out the archers on the day of Uhud - and they were fifty men - If you see us being snatched up by birds, do not leave until I send to you, and if you see us appearing against the enemy and giving them rest, do not leave until I send to you, the messenger told them, so they defeated them. They said, "The spoils have arrived. Your companions have appeared. What are you waiting for?" Abdullah bin Jubair said: Have you forgotten what the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, told you? they said: By God, we will go to the people and share some of the spoils. When they arrived, their faces were turned away, and they came in defeat.
So Allah reward you with grief with grief
The first grief: because of defeat
The second grief: The rumor of the killing of the Messenger of God - may God bless him and grant him peace - and it was said that the enemy was supervising them.
So that you do not feel sad about what you missed
From the spoils of war
Nor what happened to you
Of killing and wounds
We benefit from the following verse:
1 - If this happened in the life of the Prophet - does this apply to following his commands and forbidding what he forbade? Otherwise, the outcome will also be like this: grief upon grief.
The evidence from the Qur’an for this claim, if it is true: God Almighty said (And Muhammad is not but a messenger. Messengers have passed away before him. Then if he dies or he was killed and you turned back on your heels, and whoever turns back on his heels will not harm God at all and God will reward those who are thankful (144)
2 - Do not grieve the righteous Muslims, especially the sheikhs and those like them, for they are here in the position of the Prophet - may God bless him and grant him peace, so do not grieve him, lest God - the Almighty - grieve you.
And Allah is knows best.
3 - As for the relationship of the word (expert) in the verse: God knows best, but no one inside the battle knows what is really going on in the chests of these soldiers, Here are the honorable companions - before they violated them, or even when they violated the orders of the Messenger - may God bless him and grant him peace - did they intend to abandon the religion completely? If they were defeated or if the Messenger of God was killed in this battle? God is Expert and will reward everyone who does what he did, and of course God is Most High and Most Knowing.
